i am back, my friends! i was grounded for a while and didn’t have my laptop or phone....i was like TT every day because i couldn’t even talk to my friends or keep up with my favorite companies.....but it seems like i’ve missed a lot of developments, so i’m here to lay down my thoughts! i’ll mostly be talking about luxe and convex and everything that’s happened with them recently because....wow, what a mess, right?
first, i’m actually going to talk about something that’s not a new development, but that i haven’t really had a chance to say yet. you all know i’m not a huge luxe fan, right? i’ve never cared for their music, i didn’t like the original lineup ( chaeyoung deserved to be in the group, so jisub’s just a coward!! and yubin deserves debut more than anyone, but hopefully she’ll find a better one under trc ) and their songs aren’t really my thing.
BUT!!! after having zoe around for a while and rewatching her cuts from royal survival, i’ve realized that i’m kind of in love with her....she’s so pretty and talented, and i don’t know why they didn’t put her in luxe from the beginning! it’s still kind of weird that they replaced two singers with a dancer, but i can’t help but support zoe! even if i still think luxe will flop, i hope she’ll do well!
you have no idea how much random fangirling i had to delete from those paragraphs. i could go on and on about how much i love zoe. the other girls? not so much.
on to the new tea!
now, i knew romeo was kicked from convex ( and i spent my entire grounded time mourning his loss TT ), but apparently k.i posted something about facetiming with luxe’s cheri? RIGHT AFTER ROMEO WAS KICKED OUT FOR DATING? seriously, mimi’s right, it’s like he’s trying to show rome how it’s done and openly reveal he’s got a girlfriend......even if they’re not dating ( which, ok, they probably are, i mean how many years did they even spend in royal together? like ten? ) it seriously looks like they are, which is so bad for both of their groups....i hope sphere is teaching him how to use sns properly, but after being public for so long he should know by now, really.
in other news ( and maybe this is happier news if you’re a convex stan, which i am not ), convex had a vlive! i didn’t watch the whole thing, instead i kind of skimmed through it and watched the entertaining parts. i didn’t expect more than ten minutes or so to be entertaining, but i actually watched over an hour of it. what can i say, hyun makes a good mc! and the boys’ personal talents were mostly interesting. it was definitely new to see jace zipped into a suitcase! and wow, i had no idea hyun was that strong.....he might actually be one of my new biases, ready to fill the void romeo left behind. he and lay will have to fight for it!
and prhyme is the hip hop unit’s new leader! i’m glad they didn’t replace romeo with another sphere trainee like royal did ( though like i said zoe goes above and beyond expectations for me ), but i hope they can still carry their strong rap with only three members in the unit. but i can’t help but hope they do well, prhyme seems really cute off stage and on stage he’s got such good charisma while he raps! i can’t wait to see more from him.
i think i’m caught up now.....as far as luxe’s comeback goes, the title song is nothing special ( except for zoe, of course ). “every night” is pretty good for a b-side, i wonder why they didn’t promote that one instead since it’s way better lmao. convex also teased a comeback in the vlive, but i’m not gonna hold out hope that i’ll like it any more than mansae.

for the nova stans, who would you want to see in a future nova girl and boygroup?
CELESTE: for a girl group, as long as sunmi is in it, i’m happy. i’d also really like to see her in a group with kaeun and yongsun- they all have a certain vibe to them that i really like. i’m not sure if any of them rap though, so one of the other girls would have to fill in. as a sidenote, will it be a big or a small group? big ones are all the rage nowadays but i miss the 4 membered ggs of the past sometimes, haha. all of the nova girls seem really talented (isn’t nova known for being really well disciplined anyway?), so i think no matter what they’ll make it work. as for boys, i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again HUIDONG. huidong, yuchan, bambam, jungwoo, and jongin at the very least. you can make a big group here. all the boys in nova deserve a chance, even with the weird age differences they must have going on. at the very least, whatever you do, please make huidong a leader. i love him so much.
MIMI: girls need sunmi! they just need her! and meiqi too! have seungwan as the vocalist and then add literally anyone to the mix and you’ll have the nation’s girl group. hyuna is practically a survival show professional now, at least give that girl a chance to debut! we have to see her! for boys… can we have them all? they’re all public trainees and fairly popular, no? nova would be stupid to not debut them! huidong HAS to be leader. he just has to! he’s old and ancient i’m sure he can pass down some wisdom to the younger kids. as much as hakjin is life and forever and are literal boyfriend haknyeon and jungwoo need to stay together and debut! moonbin is another personal favourite that i want to see make it! he’s just really hot.
for celeste and katie, who are your favorite trainees from nova & trc? and why?
CELESTE: huidong *^ * have you seen that man. oh. my. god. if your idol career doesn’t work out… call me? let’s see…. gosh nova has talent they need to use. kaeun, sunmi, and solji are probably my top ladies. i like hyuna too but.. jumping ship from royal only to steal a spot from other people in the mgas? i’m still warming to her. meiqi and chaeyoung are precious honorable mentions. as for more boys.. hmm.. they’re all kinda young aren’t they? i can’t forget ricky, he’s practically grown up in nova so he’s a favorite anyway. (kudos for sunmi jumping ship from sphere- clearly a gg wasn’t in their plans any time soon) right, boys.. hmm.. bambam is endearing! and jungwoo who defied expectations, gotta love motivation!
as for trc, do you have to ask? i’m a yubin stan all the way, tattoo and drug scandals and all. she’s a strong independent woman who don’t need no man! doyeon and siyeon are my types as well, honorable mentions going to jinsoul and yujin! did you see her on the mgas? and yujin is just a cutie. and for boys, yuta probably… and youngjae? he seems like the type who would serenade you on your anniversary and i am so down for that.

for the royal fans, who would you see in a new royal boygroup?
CELESTE: aw, the royal boys! i’m not so familiar with their trainees, i just really love their idols. BUT if i had to pick just from royal, i’d say yoongi, seunghwan, mingyu, jaehyun, jinseok, and baekhyun! they’re just my ideal bg members and have the visuals i’d like to see. the other boys are cute! and i hope they all debut together so that they don’t get separated. let the flower boys blossom! (get it? because royal garden! haha)
VICKI: we were introduced to a bunch of new trainees at the samsung new years special i forgot to consider that not all of them might debut together!!! 😱😱😱 i really like jaehyun and baekhyun just by their looks. wow, royal really has the best looking trainees 😍😍😍 but i also really want to see minseok and seonho debut!! we’re close in age, so i think i’d have a chance with them 😘😘😘 i’m kidding.. sorta. i hope they do something with the mga trainees too!! they’d help bring a lot of attention to a group, so add wonwoo, mingyu, and yoongi to my list too!

well, trc is known for global icon, and knowing tiger jk, i reeeeaaaally wouldn’t put it past him to try for a ‘modern gi’. my money is on a similar girlcrush/bad bitch vibes concept though, hopefully he’s wise enough to know the backlash he’d get if he just copy pasted global icon.. but with all the trouble with san e lately, who knows? trc is the wild card out of the big 5, and maybe ironically the most quiet one, but after the samsung new year show i have hope! any group that’s getting siyeon and yubin in it is going to have a bad bitch concept, otherwise it’s just a waste. and that’s coming from the biggest trc stan you’ll meet. (you better add them tiger, i won’t go easy if you don’t)

aw.. just one? i know i tweeted about junghak a lot lately but they’re not actually my top #1 otp (though i do love them dearly and will continue to fight mimi that they’re better than hakjin...)
i know it was just a rumor, but i’d loooooove to see suji and yien actually get together. don’t you think they’d make such a cute couple?? if they are really dating, i wish they could make it public. imagine if we had a wedding a few years down the line!! and eclipse and convex as the bridesmaids and groomsmen!!!! ugh the wedding would be so pretty and the MUSIC! with all those singers?? if they don’t use their friends’ talents for the ceremony then what’s the point??
oh right taemin is suji’s brother, right? he should probably bring a date to the wedding too.
so, the thing is that with this question, we would be forcing preconceived biases and stereotypes on other, very real people, who have their own sexualities and would reasonably prefer to keep those preferences private. we all joke about it, but joking and assuming are two different things, and as the oldest of our group, i don’t feel comfortable with any of us assuming something so intimate about any of our idols, whether it would be true or untrue. we all really, really respect our idols’ privacy, and wouldn’t want to make assumptions that we wouldn’t want made about us.
