Friendshake Version 1.0 - The Journey So Far…
#TeamFriendshake have worked our socks off over the past 6 months developing Friendshake so that its ready for the big wide world to sign up and start meeting like minded people … through (of course) the magical means of taste!!
On Monday 8th September, after 6 months of development, version 1.0 was officially made available to the public. During September #TeamFriendshake have launched a local campaign to sign up users in Portsmouth and Southsea. Â We are based on the University of Portsmouth campus and decided that a locally focused campaign was the best way to ensure a quality service for our early adopters and to ensure that we optimize communication channels with our core user base.
We were overwhelmed by the response we’ve received over the last few weeks, particularly at the University of Portsmouth Freshers Fayre. So far we have over 1000 users (aka #friendshakers) and number is steadily increasing.

What’s round the corner? …
Now, it’s time for the team to regroup and re-focus our efforts on what comes next!! Over the coming three months, our main objective is to improve accessibility and the overall user experience. We have plenty in our bag of tricks and we wont give me much away but look forward to something new in your mobile apps stores, enhanced interaction with support for richer media (photo etc) and improved content.
