the more i see this, the clearer it gets for me that this was them trying to feel each other out, approaching the other wanting to talk but not knowing how to act and being uncertain whether the other is mad. and then their gazes meet and they just smile because "hey, i'm not mad at you and the team really fucked us over, huh?"

and then lando takes on the role of senior teammate a bit and takes the first step and just pats oscar to really show him that yes, the situation is shit and yes, he is mad but no, he is not mad at oscar.

and then you can just tell both of their laughs come from pure relief because "thank god you're not mad at me" and "we are in this mess together" and "we'll be okay".

and then you get a slightly awkward podium because emotions are still high and they haven't had the chance to properly talk to each other but they are still making little jokes (oscar protecting the trophy from lando) because they are fine!

and then you get a bunch of interviews were they just show full respect, understanding, support and happiness for each other.

that's a strong teammate bond if i have ever seen one. they will be fine 🫶🏻
