Figure I should make one of these pinned post thingies! Hello, I’m Remi, and I could tell you about myself but my bio’s right up there so i think that part’s already covered!
Here I’ll post art and whatever ramblings/memes i come up with about my favorite fandoms :D
My current hyperfixation and what I’ll be posting about the most is SVTFOE, but some of my other favorites include Amphibia, Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, The Owl House, Minecraft Storymode, The Dog Island and Petz Catz/Dogz 2 for the Wii/PS2 (those versions specifically are an adventure game, not a pet simulator because whoever branded those game to the Petz series fucked up)
DNI: Proship, zoos, basic “bigots dni” criteria (racists/homophobes/transphobes/etc etc), and AI “artists”

I’m a multishipper (ship multiple conflicting ships from the same source material, such as both Starco and Jarco) and ship a lot of poly throuples/quouples, so I’ll post a lot about some SVTFOE rarepairs that don’t have a widely decided on ship name! While i’ll include multiple versions in the tags for these on each post, the main tags I’m going to use are:
StarxMarcoxJackie: #Starkieco
StarxMarcoxTom: #Stomco
StarxMarcoxJackiexTom: #Tomstarkieco or #RainbowSeafoamFireSafety
KellyxJanna: #Keljan
JackiexTom: #Tomkie
I have some other projects in the works, but I haven’t begun posting them yet. When I do start releasing these projects, I’ll add on the tags to find posts related to those!
BTW i finally put some of my stuff on redbubble!! come take a gander if anyone’s interested! i painstakingly edited each one to make sure that it’d show up nicely on a LOT of different items

A great example of "It's just a headcanon" is Ragatha being a lesbian, which is an interpetation I love. It enhances a lot of moments in the series for me, I think it makes sense for her character, but there are lots of equally or even more compelling explanations for the gayer things she does in the show, Gooseworx has never implied that Ragatha is queer when discussing it, and her character arc is satisfying and makes sense if you think she's straight.
Jax being a trans girl is very much not that. There were lots of very deliberate creative decisions that just don't make sense otherwise or would generally suck WITHOUT that context (the exchange with Zooble in Episode 7, the song choice of "Isn't She Lovely" in that final montage, and the Gangle dream are the biggest examples of that) and Gooseworx kept teasing something to do with Jax and femininity in countless tweets and Tumblr asks. Trying to watch the show while interpreting Jax as a man significantly dampens the viewing experience, you can tell this by how various people have reacted to Episode 9 and how they interpreted it to reach that reaction.
Lots of cis people have disagreed with the theory because they relate to Jax. That's... really silly. I'm trans and I relate to cis characters all the time! I'm white and I relate to PoC all the time! Good writing can make people of all stripes relate to a character no matter their identity. Other people have said that Jax being trans wasn't explicitly confirmed, so it has to be a headcanon. That's where I do get a little mean and think that they're not particularly media literate. As a rule, good media employs a healthy dose of symbolism, show-don't-tell, and subtext to communicate its themes, and you'll enjoy it more if you acknowledge that the author intended most or all of it.
At the bare minimum, Jax is a trans allegory and cautionary tale whose relationship with gender ties into the broader themes of the show, specifically finding your own meaning in a meaningless situation by connecting with others. More realistically, Jax could have turned to the camera and said "I am a repressed transgender woman" and it wouldn't have changed a damn thing about the show except to make the writing more boring.
That is my big takeaway from Jax's story in The Amazing Digital Circus, and I love it. I can accept that people will have varying opinions on Jax, on his actions and inner self, and how he changed the circus irrevocably thanks to his choices.
But despite that, I need people to get that this is a story that should be told.
Spoilers below, scroll away if you haven't watched the finale.
Jax is a tragedy. He is a queer person stuck in a body they never asked for, a world they cannot escape from, and with a mind that cannot relax enough in this situation to accept himself or his current life. He hides behind a mask of his own making, and when it slips it terrifies him to the point of hurting whoever saw his true self shine through. He is a failure to thrive, be it the cause of his environment or himself or a mix of the many hurdles we all face when trying to hide from our truth. He is a quintessential LGBTQ+ story personified, even if people don't like to acknowledge that some stories are not good, are not kind. He couldn't accept himself, and it tore him and the people he cared about apart until there was nothing left.
Jax is also a happy ending, not in the circus, but outside of it. The real Jax, the person his circus copy came from, did not get his counterpart's tragic ending. He had the opportunity to grow and learn and become the person he wanted to be, or at least he's begun on that path. He's found friends with whom he can be honest, and he's found his place in the world. He accepted himself, proven through the confirmation that he frequents the real-life Zooble's bar, which is confirmed to be a queer social spot, the sort of place Jax from the circus wouldn't be caught dead in. The Jax outside is a version of him the circus version could never fathom becoming.
And ultimately, Jax is a warning. A cautionary tale. He is a bright purple neon sign telling us all to acknowledge those parts of us that scare us the most before they destroy us. He is both a reminder than things can get worse, but they can also get better. It all depends on the choices you make, the forgiveness you allow yourself to make them with, and the space you get to grow in. Not all of this is easily changed, but you don't need to start with all three. Give yourself the chance, though, and your happy ending could be right around the corner. And if you deny your truth? If you wield it like a weapon against people who try to help? Well, it just might hurt you next.

What’s a girl to do when she’s in love with her bestie/roommate? …And his girlfriend? Not to mention that her demon ex-boyfriend isn’t looking too bad nowadays… and said demon ex-boyfriend also has feelings for her and her roommate/bestie?! Just when she thought her life as a magical rebel princess from another dimension was already complicated enough!
OR: A Tomstarkieco-centric epic-length fic that starts as a sorta-fluffy, canon-compliant retelling of S2b, then goes off the rails at Starcrushed and becomes a full-fledged season 3-4 rewrite that tackles a lot more beyond shipping! There’ll be a little something for everyone, giving both protagonists AND antagonists the time to shine that they deserve!
A huge thank you to my beta readers: @lil-oreo-cookie, @kikithefox231, and @alkalynx! Ily guys <3
Hi y’all, I have an exciting announcement!! Next Tuesday the 19th, in celebration of 7 years since Star Vs’s finale, I’m going to release the first chapter of my fanfic, Rainbow Seafoam Fire Safety!!
If you haven’t seen my other posts about it or just otherwise need a refresher, it’s an epic-length Tomstarkieco polyship fic that starts as a kinda fluffy, canon-compliant S2b retelling, then goes off the rails at Starcrushed and becomes a full-fledged canon-divergent rewrite where i tackle a lot more of the show’s issues than just shipping! I want to have a little something for everyone and give all the characters (protagonists and antagonists) the arcs and time to shine that they deserve!
To clarify: I’m only releasing the first chapter for right now. I don’t have a release date for any of the other chapters yet, so consider this more of a preview! But when I do start releasing them, I want to have them dropping on a regular, consistent basis! I’ve been working on this project since July 2024 and I’m nowhere near done (my motivation has stalled recently :( but i’m scrambling to get it back!), but I’ve decided it’s finally time to get something for it out there to give a more in-depth look into what this story’s all about!
The fic will be posted on AO3 (my username is RemiOnStandbi!), and I’ll also make a tumblr post featuring a new piece of artwork each time I release a chapter! This project is my baby and I’m so excited to begin sharing it beyond my beta readers :DDD
