It’s always so weird to me when people say Jefferson would be a fan of microwaveable mac and cheese. Like, do you even know who you’re talking about? First of all, the total health freak would not eat anything that bad for you and second of all, he would not eat THAT mac and cheese. The REAL Thomas Jefferson would be the ultimate mac and cheese snob. Thomas Jefferson would look down on your crappy dollar store mac and cheese. Thomas Jefferson would spend his life savings on literally only buying the most expensive kinds because he has no concept of money. Thomas Jefferson would not TOUCH your shitty cheap mac and cheese even if it was the only thing he could afford. His recipe for it had alcohol in it. If you’re going to make jokes about his weird macaroni obsession, make sure you do it right.

•james madison referred to thomas Jefferson as “his Jefferson”

•george washington legit stopped the battle of germantown because general howe (the british) had lost his dog and george wanted to return it

•In real life in Madison’s later years he went terribly crazy. He was obsessed with protecting his history and even forged Jefferson’s handwriting and signature way after his death. He had terrible anxiety and basically lost his mind to stress #ProtectLittleJemmy2k18

•james madison’s doctor asked james if he wanted to stay alive until july 4th. james said no, and died on june 28th

•Jefferson was incredibly shy

•most historians believe he had social anxiety

•he had a crush on his friend Rebecca but could never talk to her. and then one day he prepared this long ass speech to tell her and when he went up to her he just said “we could get married one day” and then she never talked to him again lol rip

•also T Jeffs tried impressing a girl one time by jumping over a fence in France and ended up breaking his wrist.

•Aaron Burr thought he would never live up to his parent’s legacy and everyone’s expectations of him. he was also suicidal for some time of his life and some historians believe he was depressed.

•Thomas Jefferson had very low self esteem and couldn’t talk in public

•Seriously, at Jefferson’s inauguration he read a speech and he spoke so softly nobody could hear him. they had to read it in the newspapers the next day.

This book is beautiful. I’m about half way through and I love it so far. I haven’t read much by Patrick Ness but I may need to check out more of his stuff.

Ravenclaw Headcanon

When it’s heavily raining, some Ravenclaws are known to walk the grounds in the rain with no umbrellas or spells to protect them. They like how solitary it feels and how the sound of the rain drowns out any of the distracting noises of the school.

Oh My Lord

I just finished the Live Ship Traders series by Robin Hobb and oh my god I’m in love. I’m starting to realize how much I love pirate ships and books set at sea. The fantasy is amazing and I don't want to leave these characters. Well I’m back to Fitz and his adventure.

Today I saw a YA ebook for $16.99CAD

I get it, I do. But I wish someone up there in charge of pricing books would consider that not everyone can afford those prices.

Sure, more adults are reading YA lit, but not all adults can afford these prices, especially those who may well decide to use book money for something else because the prices are just too high. I’m not even going to get started on kids who thought ebooks would be a cheaper alternative to physical books (so they could continue to voraciously read books.)

I’m just getting so tired.

I'm currently reading The Blood Mirror by Brent Weeks and I love this series! The characters are so gray and in between that you root for and against them sometimes. I'm not sure if there will be a next book but I hope so. I'm not ready to let this world or characters go yet.
