Janoschs Traumstunde: Post fรผr den Tiger
rainy nights and cold tea
In Denmark we say cute things likesย โtak for i dagโ which meansย โthanks for today.โ One usually says this when saying goodbye, itโs a polite way to say thanksย to oneโs teacher if youโve been at school, youโve been staying at your friends or any situation like that in which you might want to thank someone forย โhostingโ in some way.
We also say โtak for madโ when weโre done eating, which means โthanks for the food.โ When we meet someone again, we often say โtak for sidstโ, which means โthanks for the last time (we saw each other).โ When weโre surprised we say โtak for kaffeโ which means โthanks for coffee.โ I donโt know why we do that one, though.
