“It is important that you keep your head.”
“I’d say I am touched by your concern about my head, but you should be more concerned about your own... What do you want?”
Alia would like to say @fromxrussia is an interfering twit and has horrible handwriting. Alia would never write just “dinner?” And it is amazing to Alia how Sergei got anywhere with Katrina.
Sergei says shut it and take the nice lady out to dinner.
russkiyshpionov:
“Yes, exactly,” Alian said, feeling a stronger throbbing in his side. He blinked, letting out a breath. He shouldn’t have moved so fast. He sat down on a piece of equipment, hand on his side.
“I hope I’m not bleeding,” he stated. “I was not expecting that strong of a hit from him, honestly.” He winced a bit as he touched a tender spot. “At least it got him close enough for me to inject him. I will need to work on that formula and make it stronger.” He sighed, leaning back a bit and then sucking in some air. “Granted, he may not fall for it a second time.”
He heard the computer beeped, knowing it had finished transferring files for further study in a safer place.
“If someone could get that flashdrive, that would be fantastic,” he said, leaning forward and squeezing his eyes shut.
Trust him to push himself, to cause himself potentially more damage to himself than he needed. Sergei let out a sigh, moving towards the computer and pulling the flash-drive from it. He soon returned to his friend’s side, not giving him a moment react before he carefully picked him up, avoiding the injury the best he could. “Now let’s get you to a doctor, and you can continue being the Tsar once you’re all healed.” He stated as he carried his friend from the base. He knew that things would be well taken care of, especially with the pair of eyes he had around the place.
russkiyshpionov:
Alian glared over at Sergei, not impressed with his attitude at all. The pain in his side at this moment was irrelevant. His friend’s attitude was. In a swift move, he went over to Sergei and grabbed his collar, slamming him against the wall. He stared him down, eyes unwavering.
And then he broke out in a sigh, shaking his head.
“Why are we being so childish?” He asked. “We both are working for what is best for Russia.” He looked back at his friend and heaved another sigh. “We compromise and treat this as case-by-case. Wake them up and see how they are and…If they are like you, we help. If they are like Omega Red, we handle it. Deal?”
He knew how to get under the skin of his friend, how to poke at things that would set him off. He wasn’t entirely sure as to why it entertained him at that moment, but he couldn’t keep himself from feeling amused when the other slammed up against the wall.
His hand reached out, gripping the younger’s wrist in a way to loosen the grip slightly. Despite his actions, he knew he was wrong...It was just how he dealt with this; coming back to this place, nearly losing his friend again, and those within the stasis tubes.
“I shall accept this deal for now.” He said firmly before he disengaged his friend’s grip from his collar, standing at his full height as he looked around. “Until we know exactly who we are dealing with, and why they were chosen.”
russkiyshpionov:
Pain was a universal concept. Everyone felt it; everyone had their own battles to confront. Yet even with that knowledge of pain, it was not man’s job to play God. It was not man’s job to pass judgement without knowing how these people truly were.
“Yes, I am a Romanov,” he said after a beat. “I will not turn my back on any Russian. It is my duty.” He knew he was gambling. He knew this could backfire. But even then…He had never been a cruel man, truly. He had always been a man of honor. There was no honor in killing someone when they could not retaliate.
But the first matter, before waking any of them up, was to transport them elsewhere. This facility was not a secure place, after all. He motioned to one of the agents.
“We need transportation for this kind of equipment. Any suggestions?”
Sergei rolled his eyes; yes, the Romanov card, how he had missed that. He listened as his friend seemed to go off on his tangent, showing exactly why he was a son of that bloodline. “Yes, we should get his majesty his golden chariot. We should also contact the papers and let them know that the heir to the Russian throne is walking among us.” Sergei soon said out loud, starling a few of the agents who were with them. He looked towards them, a slight smirk upon his face. “Yes, I am sure one of your big trucks will do for the future Tsar and his crazy plan.”
russkiyshpionov:
“But what do you have now?” Alian scoffed. “What do you have now that you have lived? You have a son and a woman who loves and whom you love.” Alian motioned to the silent forms before them. “You want to deny them the same chance you had?”
Alian looked ahead, seeming to look at nothing but the air. He bit the inside of his cheek, shaking his head a bit. He looked back to his friend, eyes firm.
“You tell me I should move on from the past and not drink so heavily when I think of….Of what I lost. That I should look to the future. Perhaps you should listen to your own advice.” He moved back to the desk, leaning on it as he examined the files. “At least my vice is vodka.”
A thick silence followed as Alian debated the options. Slowly, he began to nod.
“We wake them up; one by one. We get the best doctors here to help them with their demons. We let them make their own decisions.”
As he said, it was his friends choice, not his own. He said his peace, gave his opinion on the matter and it would not change. Let Alian barrette him, tell him about what he had now that he lived; yes he had Katrina, he has his son, but it did not make the years between any easier to deal with.
He scoffed a little, his attention turning away from the other as his gaze looked over the faces within the tubes. He would remember each and every one of them, monitor their activity if they were all to be awaken. He would not allow one to go unchecked, he could not risk someone killing anyone began of what they were programmed for.
“If that is what you wish.” With that he turned, moving towards the others who worked to secure the facility. He knew it would only be a matter of time before they find out the truth of this action; it would either be the best thing they could do, or their down fall in the end.
russkiyshpionov:
Alian moved back in his chair, sucking in some air at the jolt of pain from the motion. He gave the other man a stern look before rising from the chair, squaring his shoulders and holding his head high. His jaw tightened as he looked at the other.
“No,” he said. “These are Russians. We do what we can for our people.” He moved over to the stasis containers, examining them. “We have no reason to make that call for them.”
He looked up at his friend, brown eyes severe.
“They are not weapons. They are not expendable. They are people. With families. And friends. Like you had.”
This was one thing that neither man was going to agree upon; he’d live through this, he had gone through each and every day having been through this. That was why he had always focused on appeasing his handlers for so long, making sure they never found anything out.
“Like me, that is the one thing you seem to forget, I have been there. I have been in these tubes. Knowing what I do now, if I was given the choice, I would ask them not to awaken me...To end it.” He said firmly. As the memories had started coming back, the people he lost became real, he had wanted it all to end nearly every day.
“You can judge me for my opinion, discard it and do what you will, but that is my suggestion.”

Alian sat down at the desk, raising a brow at the other man’s statement. He gave a low hiss as he turned to look at the computers. He’d learned a bit of his hand when it came to cracking computer codes. It was not as different as cracking the codes he was used to.
“Dealt with? And how so?” Alian inquired, beginning to look over the files as over agents entered. Various friends of Sergei’s whom Sergei viewed as trustworthy. “For all we know, they may be just like you…Or they may be like Omega Red.”
Alian gave a sigh then winced a bit, ignoring the pain and continuing to search on the computer for files kept on the people in the stasis. There had to be some information. It was just unlocking it.
Sergei glanced over his shoulder, towards the man he deemed as his friend. It didn’t matter who they were, how they came to be in this state, to awaken them and allow them the freedom to do as they want - how many of them would lash out, how many would be burden with the horrible truth of their lives. “You know my opinion, and you know what I mean.” He slowly began to move along some of the containment tubes. Golden eyes flickering over the figures inside, seeing if he could link a face to a name.
“None of them deserve to be awoken and thrust into this life, especially considering we do not know what was done to them. I wouldn’t wish this life of anyone.”
Sergei came up behind Alian, smacking him around the back of the head. He said nothing, remaining silent as he moved to aid the reset of those who attended the scene.
My muse just did something stupid that almost got them killed. Yell at them.
“Ooow,” Alian said, the sudden smack to the back of his head agitating the wound in his abdomen. “You could be a little more gentle! I’m wounded.” He sheathed his sword, following after his friend. Once his sword was in place, his hand returned to cradling his side. “I have done worse things and you know it.”
He paused, looking at the stasis containers. He furrowed his brow and looked at Sergei.
“How many more do you think there are?”
Let him whine as much as he wanted, Sergei didn’t have the patience for the man who simply just flaunted himself in front of death. Hands tucked themselves neatly into his pockets as he walked forwards, looking around at the lab around him. The place triggered some not very pleasant memories, his nose creasing as they came and went.
He turned when his friend addressed him again, shrugging a little. “Too many,” he muttered. “We should consider that those within this containers are not safe and should be dealt with.”

To hear his father affirm his growth only caused more pride to bubble up in the child’s chest. He beamed up at his father, face filled with an innocent child’s love. He gave a huff and a nod, though.
“-Yes, I shall!-” He affirmed, stretching one arm up as high as he could. “-I will be this tall in few years! Wait and see, Papa!-” And then the next years, he would continue growing and be as tall as his papa. He was very sure of this.
Sergei shook his head. Sometimes he questioned the delusions of children, how they thought the world was. “We shall see little one, but until then.” He moved to guide the younger forwards. “Show me how you can ride this bike, maybe we can improve.”
“ps this is why you never answer your phone right -Alia”

Sev looked up with bright blue eyes as his father adjusted his helmet. He wore a goofy smile on his face, happy with the attention his father was giving him. It was rare for it to occur.
“-That means I’m growing big, yes?-” He asked, clearly excited about the prospect. “-Someday, I’ll grow to be as big as you, Papa!-”
“Yes, you’re growing big.” Sergei confirmed as he stepped back, happy that the helmet was finally secure enough not to be a hindrance - he didn’t want his son hurt after all, despite how distant he was. “Maybe, we’ll have to wait and see what the future brings.” Though he was sure the young boy would be a tall lad, granted as big as him was questionable.
