   “ Working yourself so diligently …  I truly am lucky to have your support ~ ”  A delighted giggle sounded from the feline as she continued her affectionate nuzzling,  arms draping about his shoulders.  “ Just what were you thinking about ,  hm ~? ”

“For you, I would do anything. Such tasks come so easily, when I am doing them thinking of how they benefit your cause..” Astre hummed, cheeks warming as he shifted in his chair, attempting to gingerly lead her down to sit upon his lap.

“You may think of me as silly for my slow thought process.. Though it has only now dawned upon me the ‘title’ I would obtain to be your mate. I do not feel I am fit for a ‘king’,” he chuckled quietly, squeezing her closer to him.

“Ah, my queen.. How wonderful your timing,” Astre hummed, turning his head to nuzzle back to her, “I’ve finished with my work.. and you were in my thoughts.”

The old canine has grown quiet, brows furrowed in discomfort.

Fortunately, Tonia is very good at inhaling an entire bakery’s worth of stock. She shouldn’t be feeling full for at least a few hours of pure candy monching.

A few hours? The little one is quite powerful indeed, such a feat.. He’s quite impressed with her skills!

He’s providing ‘spooky’ rides for the children.. He hasn’t been this happy in ages.

One might think after so many times, she would anticipate the gesture, but she never did and it always came as a surprise, along with a quiet choking sound as she attempted to swallow a rather strangled sound that bubbled up in her throat, “…g-good evening, Astre.”

“You seem quite shaken by something, are you alright?” He mused, feigning ignorance as he turned his head to affectionately nuzzle his nose against the back of her hand, enjoying the contact for a moment, before setting their hands back down to allow her to pull back if she so wanted.

“Greetings, my dear,” if she greeted him or not it wouldn’t matter, as he would always make certain to acknowledge her presence. Her hand was squeezed gingerly, before being lifted to his lips, a soft kiss pressed to her knuckles.

   Ears perked when he entered,  but to find herself so suddenly whisked away  -  by her mate no less !  Arms wrapped around his neck,  tail twitching in curiosity as head came to rest upon the hound’s shoulder.

   “ D - Did you need me ,  my love ? ”

“Has there ever been a time when I have said otherwise?” His voice held a teasing lilt, and the man couldn’t help the ghost of a smile that found his lips, as he carried his beloved away from her desk, towards her quarters. There were others who could carry out the necessary tasks at hand; that is what so many of the attendants were for, surely they would survive without her for a short while..

“It’s time for you to rest, my Queen,” the canine mused, settling himself onto the large, comfortable bed while keeping her in his arms, so he could nestle back into the pillows with her laying against him.

The fastest way to this man’s heart? Play with his ears -- if he trusts you enough to come near them, that is.

   A soft chuckle sounded from the feline as the other neared him.  A hand reached out,  gently lifting his fellow immortal’s head before a kiss found his lips,  purr rumbling in the back of his throat.

   “ Come here .  You know if there is anything you wish for ,  you need only say the word . ”

“Of course, my king,” The old hound mused with delight at the kiss, leaning closer in an attempt to steal a second one shortly after.

“And if my wish is to surrender myself to you, in every way?” Such admission quickly turned the man’s ears pink as well, gaze averted. It would seem he was in a particular mood this evening..
