Hello! I'm making the cape Anna wears when she leaves Arendelle, the blue-green one?? And I'm a little confused on the shape... I thought it was a half circle so I tried that on some scrap fabric but it didn't lay like hers so I looked up some patterns online but they're all for cloaks that have points at the end and hers is round all the way around. So I'm not sure if it's full circle or...?? Any help would be great, thanks!!

Maybe try playing around with the shape on yourself. Like, if the shoulders aren’t sitting right you can tuck them and pin them right. If the hem isn’t right you can see what needs to come up or down depending. Sometimes it can come down to an individual body shape for whether or not a pattern fits right. Try just getting some calico, making a few cloaks and having a go to see what sits best where. I’m sorry I can’t be more specific, but also feel free to change the shape a bit too, see what sort of circle works well for you.

I want to use a 98•55 curtain to make a cape. I got for 10$ on clearance!! I could make Elsa's coro cape, or Anna's travel cape. Keep in mind I'm a kid and I'm only 5' tall. Elsa's cape would be for my friend and Anna's cape would be for me. What would be the best to make out of it? I was thinking that Elsa's would take a lot of fabric, and would be expensive otherwise. I don't have much money but I want it to be the best it can be. Call me panda- I'll be back

Although you’re short, I don’t know how tall your Elsa is.

Personally, I wouldn’t make Elsa’s cape to accurate length. Seriously, for a con. Don’t. You’ll be in for a very bad time if you do. Make it to about ankle length if you can. Same goes for you in Anna’s garb. Ankles are a good reference point.

Also what unit of measurement is that 98•55 in? I’m a metric user by nature so I don’t know if you’re an imperial or metric.

Also if you position it right and your Elsa isn’t much larger than you, in theory you could just about make them both in the same bolt.

But yeah, could you message again with more info (your height, Elsa’s height, full fabric length, you and Elsa’s heights from your shoulders to your ankles,and the width around your shoulders which meet at the sternum [middle of the chest->around your back->middle of the chest, keeping the measuring tape parallel to the ground]) so I can help you better? Your measurements don’t have to be in metric but it would certainly make things go faster for me, but do mention outrightly what unit you’re using
