Sure she may be known as a member of the league, but that only makes her quite respected and very well liked by many of the people here as it is. At least 90% of them are actually proud that there is someone from this region that is taking up coordinating and making it to the higher leagues, since no one else has really done so before to ever put this region on the map.”
Really, he had been in the position of someone’s shadow before, there was absolutely nothing to even have to prove at all now after not only his own experience but also what him and his family had found out from the locals ever since coming here.
“Regardless, I would say the best place to start would be her gym or back at her parent’s home. I can accompany you to both places and I can still use my pokemon to assist in tracking her down along the way. Aside from that, I’m certain that Jake would also be able to give us an idea of where she may have gone today too if she isn’t home.”
“I wouldn’t say that her fears are unfounded. I’ve seen the sources of her concerns myself - her image might be exponentially better outside of this region, it’ll still follow her wherever she goes... quite literally. It’s a vicious world for us Coordinators off the stage, where unwanted drama and rumors fester in our midst. I’ve been lucky to avoid it, being a smaller name, but Yuugetsu... I wonder how she’s able to do as well as she has been. Most people would’ve quit in her position.” It was undeniable to them that their junior had a very harsh hand dealt to them, and it felt slightly insulting to them that this man was seemingly downplaying it, but they wouldn’t say anything. It wasn’t for them to say, they weren’t the ones on the receiving end, and thus had no room to argue.
“That aside, I’d appreciate the assistance. She has a habit of zoning out when she’s focused on something, so I imagine it’ll be a while before she responds to my text, if Iona doesn’t get to it first.” Half of the time, the first response text wasn’t from Yuu directly, it was from the Espeon that so faithfully kept her trainer’s head above water, bless that poor cat’s soul.

A member of the league, honestlt that already did narrow down the list of suspects a bit. Then again the professor had to at least try to get acquainted with most of those that were part of it. Though with how vague the other was being, it was making it quite difficult to assist if necessary either.
“I am at least acquainted with most of the league members, though there are only a few of them that happen to be female.” That already said, it did massively narrow down just who it was the other wanted to see. “Then again, being the professor of this region also means that I still have some duties as well when it comes to the league as it is, though not as much as the members themselves, or else it would impede with my own research.”
“Ah, if that’s the case, I suppose I can be more blunt with it, then. I was told to be delicate around the subject.” Good, because it suited them more than tiptoeing around the topic. While they were capable of flowery words, due to their upbringing, they preferred to be straightforward.
“Would you happen to know the frequent whereabouts of Yuugetsu? I understand she can be a bit of a wild card, but it’s a little difficult for me to look for her in an unfamiliar place.” Their tone was even more deadpan than usual, perhaps due to the context of the situation. It was almost like an exasperated parent asking about their child. “If not, though, that’s fine. At the very least, I know the types of places she likes to frequent, so if all else fails, I may be able to sniff her out that way.”
Shimo was well aware of the fact that Yuu is notoriously bad at picking up the phone when she was focusing on something, so they’d wait before they’d attempt to call her. It’d probably be easier that way.

There were several instances in which he actually was tempted to do what his uncle did back at home on most instances, perhaps he might bring up doing so in this town for even a season or so instead of all year round, considering his own pokemon would like that too.
“I see, it is nice to meet you, Shimo.” Then again, a new trainer that actually he could more or less relate to in some instances as well. “I…have a relative that happens to be an ice-type specialist, it is because of him that I have gained a preference that I do have, but…I would not call myself a specialist at all by any means.”
“Though you did say you were looking to visit someone here, may I ask who they are, perhaps I could help you in getting to where they are at.”
“Really? Well, I suppose I shouldn’t be too surprised, considering you brought up Snowbelle. Regardless, the person I’m acquainted with just so happens to be a member of this region’s League. She said she has today off, so I don’t think she’d be where she’d usually be. Knowing her, though, if she isn’t home, she’s likely where nobody else will be.” Shimo wouldn’t blame her for it, though. As much as she was adored across the sea, Shokiko was rough on performers in certain ways, due to the culture. Besides, it was best to train or rehearse where there was little in terms of distractions. Besides, they weren’t fond of people, either.
They weren’t getting their hopes up that the man personally knew the individual in mind, though he probably knew of her. With what she had accomplished so far, it was impossible for him not to if he lived here. But with how polarizing she could be, they’d keep their statements as vague as possible until they could gauge out the situation a bit better. The man was still a stranger, after all.

An Ice-type user? Then again, perhaps some things did look apparent, it was like that for himself too in that regard. But the other did mention having a friend here too.
“I see, which makes me wonder where you’re from since very few places have snow year-round. If you were from Snowbelle I would have probably seen you at some point.” He couldn’t help the small smile there. “Snowpoint I take it? Though you are correct that this region does take a lot to get used to compared to those places, even I’m not acustomed to it either.”
Then again, he couldn’t help but find a sort of connection with the trainer too, due to both of them already having such a similar type-preference too. The Glalie letting off a happy noise from the pats too in that regard.
“You would be correct, I hail from Snowpoint. I hear that the summers here are especially hot, even in areas where it’s usually more temperate. With my hometown in mind, it’s no wonder I became a specialist in both Ice and Water-types.” Their name, they supposed, also helped in that regard. With a name like Shimo Fuyumori, it was like it was meant to be.
“That being said, my name is Shimo, although I usually go by Antarcticite or Antarc. I’m a travelling trainer and performer, and as I mentioned before, a dual-type specialist. It’s a pleasure to meet you. As for my companion here, this is Yasusada. One of my newer team members, but he holds his ground just fine.” At his introduction, the Samurott made a proud chuff, pleased with his trainer’s praise.

Well that was a bit of a new face there, and honestly the Glalie was quite curious and eager to see the new arrival. Happily floating up to Shimo as if he wanted to greet them. Though it was apparent by one of the ornaments that was around one of his horns that this pokemon did belong to a trainer as well. As there was a mega stone at least incorporated into the ornament too.
Even though it was far warmer than what the Glalie or it’s trainer was used to, the pokemon still really wanted to be out apparently in order to greet the new arrival as well. Almost begging for at least some form of attention from the young trainer it seemed now.
Though as it as for where the Glalie’s trainer was? He wouldn’t be too far behind, trying to catch up to his pokemon that decided to wander off on him. Though the pale-haired man was a bit surprised to see that it was someone new that he pokemon decided to go and see.
“Apologies for that, Glalie seems to like to go up to anyone that he meets. Though, you do appear to be a new face to this region, may I ask as to what it is that brings you here?”
The arrival of the rather large Ice-type caught them off-guard, but once the initial alarm quickly wore off, the Glalie would be rewarded with a couple solid pats. Of course, when its trainer showed up, they’d step back to give him their full attention.
“No worries. I suppose it could tell I use a lot of Ice-types.” Of course, with pale hair, skin, and clothing, there was no better tip-off, especially when one considered their background. “As for why I’m here, a friend of mine is a rather prominent figure, and I’ve yet to visit the region, so I figured I’d go to see what her home region is like. I much prefer the year-round snow of my home, but it’ll be a nice break for some of my team members, I suppose.”

“So this is Shokiko, hmm? Interesting. It’s a lot warmer than I’d prefer it to be, but it’s not bad. Certainly a nice change of pace, at least. I bet you prefer this over the places we usually go, don’t you, Yasusada?” The slender young adult was met with a soft chuff from the Samurott that accompanied them. Shimo much preferred the cold, but not all of their team shared that sentiment, which was fair, seeing as some would’ve inhabited warmer places in the wild.
“Now then, I wonder where we should begin?”
Lotus’ Random Fucking GA That Nobody Fucking Asked For
The time has come, and the prizes have been gathered. Now, none of you lovely beings can stop me from making this. I’m gonna make it fucking rain shinies. Not one, but THREE boxes of them, just for you guys. All of these are legal, legitimate shinies, and were either hatched, caught, or bred by me, and with the help of some of my very generous SVExchange friends, I have been able to amass this collection far quicker than I would have alone. Props to the TSV community for helping me make this possible, you guys are the best and I hope to host a GA over there in the future. But for now, I’m doing my first one here, to all my lovely mutuals. Winners will be decided by June 9.
PRIZES:
1st: 5 Warp shinies, four other shinies of choice 2nd: 5 Warp shinies, three other shinies of choice 3rd: 5 Warp shinies, two other shinies of choice 4th: 5 Warp shinies, one shiny of choice Other Participants: Remaining shinies will be split evenly among other participants, a minimum of one per participant if possible.
The way this will work is simple: There will be four winners, who will receive one set of Ultra Warp shinies each, dividing the ones capable of Mega Evo evenly. 1st-4th place will also have first picks on the other shinies, though I’ll make sure the process allows everyone to have a fair chance at what they want. The remainder will be split across all participants, starting from those who didn’t win, so that as many people as possible can get something from this.
