Here's an alt with an overlay filter. Also I've noticed that when I export from Procreate, the colors end up getting washed out a little? So I've adjusted the contrast to make up for it.

I've figured the way to get good at drawing Gundam is to keep drawing him. Shocker. It's hard for me to let a sketch be messy, and not want to tinker with it until it's "perfect", so I'm forcing myself to by making it an experiment with different brushes I have.

Thanks to a friend who pointed me to some Procreate brushes, I've been inspired to experiment more.

I always missed the fine texture of actual pencils in my digital work, so I was really impressed with the Chromograph set from True Grit Texture Supply!

I want to get back into drawing, and specifically start doing mech art. Beginning this with some sketches of my HG YF-19

My contribution for ESS 2022! Gift for legendofthesevenstars who liked the platonic relationships in the series, particularly between Van and Merle.

Playing around with more of Procreate’s effects and brushes. Not sure I really achieved the watercolor look I wanted. Also I still have no idea what to do for backgrounds—even abstract ones, lol

Warming up for my upcoming ESS piece for this year. Wanted to try some different painting techniques to get closer to Nobuteru Yuki’s style. Also an experiment with the screentone overlay.

I’m still in a general art funk (it’s just become a lower priority for me as I’ve been focused on writing and model making), but I felt like experimenting.

My contribution to the Escaflowne Secret Santa 2021! Hielo mentioned a nostalgic fondness for VanxHitomi, so I tried to capture those feelings in this piece. I traded this between paint tool Sai and Procreate, and added some filters through Photoshop. The wings were a fun challenge to render!

Overall, I’m happy with how it turned out. I hope you like it too, Hielo!
