Nope to the AI
It might not matter to some, but it does to me. I'm going to be deleting my posts and blogs here because I don't think users should be forced to have their content used to feed the AI bots, regardless of whether you like them or not.

Not that I really wondered, but great to see that Micro.blog has no interest in owning or selling user data.
Next Goal Wins, 2023 - ā ā ā ½
Watched on Monday February 26, 2024.
So many Wix sites using what I assume are their stock templates or themes still have the default FB / IG / Twitter social links on them.
All that free SEO for Wix from small businesses around the world.
Ok, maybe Iāll go buy a snowblower.
Itās as predictable as Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown: Apple isnāt in to video games for the long haul, they just want the PR for the idea of it.
āHow to make faceless content on TikTok and generate thousands of dollars a monthā is the new side hustle Iām seeing a bunch of. š¤¢

The things I do for my kids when theyāre sick.
I had the opportunity to play bass again this week (Iām normally a guitar player), and it always amazes me how different a skill set it is from guitar. Itās somehow more relaxing to play, while also having so much to learn.
The ability to unlock my computer automatically with the Apple Watch is a more important invention than the Vision Pro.
I always dreamed Iād someday be the āmuseā of a spam bot on TikTok trying to solicit funds from me.
Costco Canada heads up: a recall on eggs with potential salmonella issues. It feels like a huge waste for them to toss so many eggs (I assume?), but also not worth the health risk obviously.
Manton on Blueskyās federation - Iām just going to keep shouting that Micro.blog is the best way to own your stuff while still supporting all the things in a slow, intentional way until you listen to me.
Iām nowhere near able to consider buying a Vision Pro, but if I did have one, Iād be checking out Adam Lisagorās new app called Television. Rather than just generic floating UI screen, using the past to help inform our future.
Itās so annoying how if I focus on the task at hand it goes so much quicker, I can get more done, and have more time to relax later. Right now Iām not focusing on the task and itās much more fun.
I love the new simplified pricing flow micro.blog. I agree with Manton: one of the best deals on the web.
Fesshole on Mastodon (maybe elsewhere?) is a great follow for PostSecret fans of old.
