I just started my ICU rotation and it's amazing. Even though I have had high expectations, this is one of the first clinicals in this year that is not a disappointment.
It feels good to know things, answers. Finally I don't feel dumb.
And I love the way they treat the patient as a whole.
I love reading way too much
100 days of productivity: Day 5
Even been so busy and getting so much done you couldn't stop just so you don't ruin your productivity roll?
Even though I didn't do much traditional studying done today, I did get quite a lot done. I bought a printer and I set it up. More importantly though, I finally signed up for an Italian course.
It's an immersion based course, so the teacher only speaks and explain everything in italian. It really forces you to try to think in italian and connect the meaning of the words you do understand to guess the remainder from context. It's a fascinating environment in which people from all over the world (mostly students but also working adults with children) gather to tickle their brains for an hour and a half and figure out the meaning of a word based on an explanation using other words they don't really know, when they only learned the alphabet the previous week.
It reminds me of a short story we read back in high school called "Me talk pretty one day", in which the author discusses his experience in an immersion based French course. While the teacher is tense to put it nicely, he opposes all stress with unwavering positivity concluding, in the end, that he will one day "talk pretty".
So to all my language learners out there, noi parlamo bello un giorno.

There was a hole at the front of the backpack so I tried covering it up. I'm quite happy with how it turned out
100 days of productivity: Day 4 I got a bit tired of general chemistry so I decided to switch it up with some biochemistry review. I actually never properly learned organic chemistry in high school, so anything beyond physical chemistry is both terrifying and exciting

me: the weather is gorgeous today! person: it’s storming??? me: yes
Italy is fascinating
100 days of productivity: Day 3 It’s time for some chemistry. It’s a revision from high school but I still need to review the details before moving on to organic chemistry.
Nothing more comforting than a chocolate chip cookie in a mug
100 days of productivity: Day 2 I’ve been studying for my biophysics exam and I’m late with posting about it, but I guess it will be worth it in the end 😊
