there is something so juicy about thinking of price expecting ghost to find him. that's his simon, a man graced with the patience of someone who has been waiting all of his life, a man who'll track a target with nothing but single minded focus, dutiful and subservient and lethal. price has seen him hunt the most elusive of men, those who no one else could find even a trace of, whose fates were sealed the moment a file was passed over to scarred hands in hushed conversations.

no, price is not arrogant enough to think he'll evade ghost. it's always a matter of time, of keeping himself moving. there's nothing he can do to throw him off his scent for very long, because as much as he knows simon, ghost knows him.

so the only thing he can think the moment he sees that familiar skull pattern, that tall and broad stature, the familiar stance of a predator waiting to strike, is there you are, simon. glad that he's granted with the honor of actually seeing him, knowing with certainty that if ghost had wanted to, he could've blown his skull open without price ever knowing he was even there.

Rabbot head-cannon — leaving notes for each other.

Okay so I was thinking, because of the nature of their shifts, Robby and Jack probably rely on text or leaving each other notes to communicate, especially when their sleep schedules are exact opposites. For things not as urgent, they probably prefer the analog way of writing things down.

For Jack, I’m picturing him writing on post-it notes and sticking them on the fridge, on their bedroom door, etc., for Robby to find when he wakes up. He probably has a stack of post-its on his night stand to write things down before he heads off for his shift.

For Robby though, he’s grabbing whatever pieces of paper he could find to scribble on, not caring what shapes or form they are in, as long as he can get the messages across. He would be putting pieces of tape on them so that he can slap these notes on random surfaces in their home for Jack to come across, a gift of pleasant surprises.

ok but imagine ghost being the most angry over the fact he never even got the choice to follow price into whatever batshit crazy plans he has. he'd do a lot for him. he worked with shepherd and graves after las almas because price told him to. there is no line he'd draw for price and yet without warning, simon is left behind.

price better have done something utterly and completely deplorable to get ghost of all people to turn on him

i like that jack's big, bold strategy for getting robby to listen to him in that last episode essentially boiled down to a full hour of staring intently at robby until he orbited his way back to him (because of course he would eventually, because he always does) and then once he had his attention, proceeding to following him around until he gave up trying to escape and let jack aggressively emote in his general direction until robby gave in and listened.

i'm dying to know if this plan was born from experience or instinct. has jack deployed that strategy on him before? robby knew he was being handled and tried to shake jack off for two full episodes before he gave in, so this is clearly not brand new behavior. how did jack discover this was the way to break through robby's defenses? how many times has robby tried to be emotionally distant with jack and jack just flat out refused to let him. it's like the fight leaves robby entirely. he lets jack care, unapologetically, in a way he does not (at least that we've seen) let anyone else. even with dana, who gets the closest to any other person on screen, but still he tries to be strong for her in the end, but with jack he resists and resists and resists and resists but then he gives in, and somehow jack knows that's how it's going to go, that he just has to tread lightly until he can wage a full on emotional attack, where robby will let him in and then he has to talk fast and show that he cares so much because he knows that when he finally wears robby down that's the only time he has a chance to make all of it land.

there's something very funny to me about the idea the jack has poured hours into coming up with a plan of attack with robby over the years, like the 'break glass in case of emergency plan', but it's basically just the jaws theme playing in his head while slowly encroaching into robby's personal bubble and his big finisher is somehow just him yelling "you're a fucking dumbass and you are so loved! let me love you, you stubborn asshole!!!!" paired with as much physical affection as robby will let him get away with. how many years has jack had to study this ridiculous man to have a "robby is being an idiot and thus i need to Act" plan just waiting in the wings, ready to deploy?

so my car has what i like to call a really steep learning curve. the turn radius is shit and the wheel rattles a lot. i just figured it was a steering column issue or just a random quirk. turns out! the front right cv axle is entirely detached from the differential! and has been long enough to tear a chunk out of the frame!

Shen is like “yes Jack, I did the chant,” and then he has to turn to everyone like “PLEASE say we did the chant, the old man will be so upset with me. Night crawlers Whoo!”

i should be applauded for my ability to keep a poker face because right when me and my coworker were just about done closing, i heard him sigh and then heard "[crash] i think i couldve labelled this better" so obviously i went over to see what he had put on a huge jar of pretzel bites a party we were hosting gave us and did everything in my power to not even react when i saw he wrote "FREE USE" across the cap in huge letters

i just know jack is so very annoying in domestic life. robby refuses to shower with him after the umpteenth time he's turned his back on him once he gets out, only to have that asshole wind up a towel to snap it against his ass like every other stereotypical jock.

after robby gets up first thing in the morning, when he's half-leaning, half-slumped over the kitchen counter while stirring sugar into his coffee, jack makes it his mission to sneak up on him to then promptly shove his ice cold fingers up the front of his shirt, hugging him tightly to hold him in place while robby yelps and squirms. more than a few cups of coffee have been spilled because of this.

sometimes he'll see robby kicked back on the couch, face so serious with his reading glasses on, typing away on his laptop and he gives in to his impulsive thoughts and hurries over to lick a long, not very sexy, stripe up the side of his face. robby does not know a moment of peace but he's never felt more loved.
