Covering the weaved basket with a red and white gingham cloth, she closed the door to Kash’s place behind her and strolled down the sidewalk. She had spent part of her morning baking blueberry ricotta scones to give out to her friends, including the newfound ones.This was the first time making these types of scones and quite frankly, they came out delicious for her first try. If there was one other thing that Marlene was good at, besides shopping and designing, it was baking. She had always loved to bake and trying new things made her love it even more. “Morning!” She chirped as soon as she saw the other on the sidewalk. “Would you like to try one of these scones I’ve made?”
When the unfamiliar girl made her presence known, it took him by surprise. The last thing he expected was the female to approach him, offer up one of her scones. The bloke couldn't help but be a little cautious of the entire ordeal because it wasn't as if this was an everyday occurrence in evergreen — someone offering him a scone, even if she wasn't an evergreen resident. "What did you poison it with?" Zameer questioned, glancing down at the weaved basket. "May as well tell me so I can at least die knowing the cause of my death."
