OF COURSE HE WAS AWARE THAT HE HAS A VISITOR ---  if his security system had somehow failed to pick up the presence on his property, the loud banging against the front door would have quickly alerted him. but he didn’t rush to finish his task, knowing that chloe would see to answering and, more importantly, removing any unwanted presences from his home. 

to say he was surprised when chloe came back to report that it was in fact gavin — a figure who should be familiar but was in fact slightly less than a stranger to elijah, was an understatement. an acknowledgement to the blonde before he took a moment to finish his task, if gavin was in his home he was sure that he would wait or leave before elijah arrived. 

finally the tools were lowered and the safety gloves removed, stepping through vast rooms until he arrived at the entrance, hands pushed deep into the pockets of his jacket as he eyed the younger male up and down. “ gavin — what a surprise. to what do i owe the pleasure ?? ” 

      the  younger  brother  steps  into  the  foyer  where  he’s  been  instructed  to  stay  as  the  blonde  droid  leaves,  green  gaze  flickering  around  and  taking  in  his  surroundings.  gavin  almost  wants  to  throw  up  at  the  total  god  complex  elijah’s  got  going  on  around  this  place,  staring  at  the  grande  photo  of  his  brother  on  the  wall.
