When you’re just a big baby (6) and mom expects you to actually carry yourself correctly.

Burp came to me a mostly unhandled project at 6yo from someone who never learned to handle a green horse. He’s missing half his right heel from an accident as a yearling and is sound but guards it. Putting him in the Pessoa to encourage stretching and tracking up appropriately to build muscle to carry a rider. He’s carrying a but easily now but I won’t be attaching the rig to his bit until we’ve done some more training to avoid him feeling boxed in and panicking. Slow going with a horse that was never expected to work and is used to pushing humans around but he’s been going nicely for a week and is such a goofy goober
