I think the thing that saddens me the most about this fandom is the constant complaining. Not to say it's not valid, but like, I've been following this hell fire for the past five years, and I would just like to share some wisdom with you; you aren't going to enjoy the show, unless you accept it for what it is.
The show has never been reliable concerning release dates/special events, if we know anything about Jeremy Zag, it's that he's a business man, so most of the money that this show is making is probably going towards merch and advertisements, and if I've noticed anything, it's that between hiatuses, there's an explosion of merch, then a leak, followed by a coincidental pushed back release date for the next season. This has not changed in the past five years.
It is also kind of important to realize that these kids are 14 years old, they're gonna make mistakes, and honestly we should give Thomas Astruc props, not only does he let these kids make mistakes, but he also demonstrates that these mistakes are redeemable, and with that shows kids (of which this show is targeted towards) that mistakes are a chance to learn, as seen within the relationship between Marinette and Tikki. Not only that, but we also see the negative effects of not making mistakes. Like with Adrien for example, he's afraid to make mistakes because of the expectations put onto him by his father, and thus only being able to free himself as chat noir, creating a disconnect between him and his superhero per(fur)sona, the only time he's able to make mistakes. Because of this, he's not accustom to healthy conflict and has an unhealthy way of dealing with his negative emotions. Getting passive aggressive towards ladybug, unrealistic expectations towards ladybug, not being able to form boundaries with Chloe, or lila, or his dad, literally destroying the moon, etc. none of which being his own fault, and I recommend seeing this as part of Adrien's character development.
While we were all disappointed by the fact that Chloe never got a redemption arc, (instead it seems like it was totally taken away from her) we do need to realise that Chloe has hurt a lot of people, and she has to earn her redemption by not only healing herself, but also healing her relationship with others. Simply giving her a miraculous and saying "have at er", making her a hero by default, would negate any substantial growth that needs to happen, it would be too easy for the wrong reasons. Chloe needed a reality check, she needed to be humbled so that she can rebuild herself, that is what character development means, that's a redemption arc, it's developing yourself for what you need in life, rather than what you want in life.
Anyways, what I'm trying to say is, trust the process, even if it might be taking a little longer than we hoped. Simply put, we all, for the most part, started watching this show for the sole purpose of entertainment. Let's all ride this wave as it comes, there's two more seasons, (which have 26 episodes each), let's see what happens.
