I'm convinced Victor is, in fact, younger than Eli, which is frankly ironic.

We were never given their exact dates of birth, but we do know that Eli is a Leo and Victor is a Capricorn.

Leos are born between the 23rd of July and the 22nd of August, while Capricorns are born between the 22nd of December and the 19th of January.

The incident at Lockland took place close to the start of the spring semester, which usually begins in mid-late January. At this point in time, they were both 22 years old, as was said multiple times throughout both novels, which means Victor had just recently turned 22, so Eli must have turned 22 in the summer of the previous year, otherwise he would have been 21 years old instead.

This would make Eli about 4-6 months older than Victor, depending on their exact birthdates.

It's also quite interesting to note that Victor and Eli are born in opposite seasons, in winter and summer respectively, as are Sydney and Serena, in spring and autumn, with Sydney being a Pisces, born between the 19th of February and the 20th of March, and Serena being a Scorpio, born between the 23rd of October and the 21st of November.
