Nick : No no no no, your dog’s alive. She’s on the other side. Taylor : Cool! Oh. She left me behind then. That’s cold. Nick : Give me a look at your leg. Stephen : Can’t walk on that. Taylor : Duh. Why do you think I’ve been sat here? Stephen : Come on, I’m gonna have to carry you. Taylor : No way ! Stephen : What’s your name anyway? Taylor : Taylor. And I ain’t baggage. No one has to carry me.

Between the past And the future

Little bit of commentary: I giffed this scene because it is basically my favorite probably ever. As a writer I see this as serious literary foreshadowing, though it’s never really shown in the series. I sort of took it as the anomalies of the past vastly overcoming those of the future, a future that would soon be destroyed. It also shows the fact that no matter what evolution creates, no matter what skills the presumed “ultimate predator” would have, it could always be defeated. Not by advancements, but by stepping back a few spaces, in this case a few million years. The past can hold the solutions.
