DEBORAH VOIGT NAMED ARTISTIC ADVISOR FOR VERO BEACH OPERA
Deborah Voigt has just been named as the new Artistic Advisor to Vero Beach Opera (VBO). Working in close collaboration with VBO Artistic Director Roman Ortega-Cowan and VBO Music Director Bruce Stasyna, she will offer the company advice and expertise related to opera repertoire, casting, and production.

This Fall, Deborah Voigt Joins Faculty at San Francisco Conservatory of Music
Internationally revered operatic soprano Deborah Voigt has been appointed to the full-time voice faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM). Beginning in the fall of 2016, Voigt, known the world over for her “majestic voice” (WSJ), will bring to SFCM the benefit of singing experience that spans an extraordinary spectrum, from her renowned performances in the operas of Wagner, Strauss, and more, to her celebrated recital appearances and acclaimed presentations of Broadway standards and popular songs. Through private lessons and masterclasses with Voigt, select SFCM voice students will have the unique opportunity to gain insight and training from one of the world’s most versatile singers and music’s most endearing personalities.

Some exciting news for the new year!
Debbie book is going to be released in paperback at the end of the month!
In addition to the release of the paperback edition of her book, Debbie will be hosting Jonas Kaufmann’s Carnegie Hall recital on January 31st.
In February Debbie will be guest appearing at the Little Orchestra’s Winter Benefit honoring the radio station WQXR on the 1st. On February 3rd Debbie will be bringing her highly-acclaimed show “Voigt Lessons” to Palm Beach, Florida’s Walter S. Gubelmann Auditorium.

ANNOUNCING THE FIRST ANNUAL DEBORAH VOIGT VOCAL COMPETITION
Deborah has partnered with the Vero Beach (Florida) Opera to present their first annual vocal competition!
Some highlights of the competition include:
Monetary awards given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners
The competition is open to all voice types between the ages of 20 and 30
No entry fee!
No accompanist fee!
Applications must be received by midnight (EST) on February 10th 2016

Opera star Deborah Voigt gives life, career advice at Boston University
World-renowned operatic soprano Deborah Voigt shared stories from her new memoir, including her struggles with weight and alcohol addiction, with hundreds of Boston University students, faculty and community members Tuesday night at Metcalf Ballroom.

Deborah will be discussing her life on stage, the career she’s had as an opera singer, and her recent memoir “Call Me Debbie.” Boston University students get in for free! Don’t miss this!
Deborah Voigt to sing Pirates of Penzance with newly-renamed MasterVoices
This October, Deborah will be singing the role of Ruth in a production of Pirates of Penzance in New York City. The MasterVoices chorale (formerly Collegiate Voices) is beginning a new partnership with City Center to give concert performances of operas and operettas in English. Their first production will be Pirates on October 15th and 16th. More information here!
Deborah Voigt to make Provincetown, MA Debut
On August 2, Deborah Voigt takes her one-woman show, “Call Me Debbie” to the Art House in Provincetown. For one night only Deborah will present her down-to-earth diva persona in a show that combines Broadway and classical music as well as anecdotes and stories as part of the Broadway @ The Art House concert series.

Deborah Voigt to headline Napa Valley’s Festival del Sole
This Friday, Deborah Voigt heads to the Napa Valley Festival del Sole. She reunites with pianist Brian Zeger, whom she calls her “favorite partner in crime,” for a program of her best-loved arias and American songbook classics on July 17.
Deborah Voigt to sing at opening concert of Miami Summer Music Festival
On July 11th Deborah will be singing at opening night of the Miami Summer Music Festival at the Shepard and Ruth K. Broad Performing Arts Center. South Florida audiences are treated to Voigt’s signature dramatic soprano with a program of Wagner’s “Dich, Teure Halle” from Tannhauser and “Du bist der Lenz” from Die Walkure, “Zueignung” from Strauss’ sublimely orchestrated Four Last Songs, and more. Voigt is joined by the 2015 MSMF Symphony Orchestra, a 95-piece orchestra comprised of top young talents from the world’s elite music institutions including Juilliard, the Royal College of Music, the Cleveland Institute, and others.
