It’s very sad news to report that Richard “Dickie” Dawson passed away last night at the age of 79 from complications due to esophageal cancer. An amazing person & talent, he will be very missed. Richard was married to Diana Dors in 1959 and was father to their son’s Mark and Gary. Mr. Dawson will be long remembered for his role in Hogan’s Heroes as well as being the first host of the long-running game show Family Fued. I send my condolences to both the Dawson and Emm families during this difficult time. RIP Dickie Dawson November 30, 1932 – June 2, 2012

Newly listed on Ebay.com is the original Diana Dors wax bust from The Beatles’ Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover. On behalf of the Diana Dors Official Fan Page, we are trying to get Madame Tussauds or Hard Rock Cafe of London to consider possibly purchasing and re-instating the Sgt. Pepper waxwork bust of Diana Dors where she belongs. This is a very iconic piece of popular culture, and has been sold twice in the past seven years. She has already suffered wear to her hair over the years, and in order to prevent further damage, we are hoping that Madame Tussauds will bring her home permanently to preserve this very special one-of-a-kind piece of rock n’ roll history. A little background on the bust, it was originally borrowed by the Beatles from Madame Tussauds Wax Museum for use on the album cover for Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Diana is certainly one of the most prominent figures on the cover, and this waxwork was one of the few used that were chosen by the Beatles and the album cover’s designer, Peter Blake. Diana measures 24-inches high and rests on a 12 square pedestal. At this point, all she needs is a new hair do. The piece was auctioned for the very first time in October 2005 by Cooper Owen and Madame Tussauds. The Ebay seller is the 2nd owner of Diana.
