I want to change it a bit, but I couldn't wait to show you the intro of the game. I have to say a huge thank you to Greg Nicolett who did such an awesome job with the soundtrack. People, if you will ever need someone to create music for you, this guy is amazing at his job. I get a bit emotional when I see this small intro. I so much hope this feeling arrives to you as well. As Van Gogh tried to express his interior world through his art, I hope I can express what his art gives to me through my work.
Keep tuned, really soon there will be the first small demo of the game. :)
Very close to the deadline for the demo of this game. I'm excited and at the same time I would do differently so many things! I applied for a workshop in Prague in May about creating puppets for stop-motion. If I could, I would re-do my Van Gogh puppet completely (even though I love this one). The soundtrack is being composed. The code is getting refined. I hope to be able to present it soon to all of you and to receive positive comments. I would love to kickstart the project or to get funding to continue it. I think it would be a great way to teach to kids and grown-ups about Van Gogh's life and art while having a nice time. I hope to receive the support from the people who are following this blog. Thank you all! :)

Ok, I haven't updated this blog for quite a while but... don't worry, the game is taking shape! it's just, you know, a lot of coding. Yep. So I'll leave here some pictures, randomly, from time to time... but before December you should be able to play a demo of the game. And, oh, we have a musician! For the soundtrack! A look at the game in Unity.
So, tonight I tell you a bedtime story guys (meh, I know, it’s 02:00, but I hope you’re still awake to hear it). Some days ago I decided to help my boyfriend moving some boxes full of stuff in the basement (he is a lazy german and never does it). We go in the basement and while I’m screaming loud because it is full of spiders -for the record, I’m aracno phobic, what a lovely girlfriend I am- I notice those old cigar boxes on a shelf. I love old stuff! So I decide to take them even if they’re completely useless, and I forget them somewhere in the house. While shooting for the game the other day, I notice one of them, so I chose to use it in the game as the letter box that will contain Van Gogh’s letters to Theo.
Today I was looking at the pictures with the programmer, Marco (god bless him for saving me from the programming shit), and I noticed those letters wrote on the box, E.L.”. I said “I wish on the box there would have been something meaningful for my game, like Van Gogh initials”. Marco started googling and we found out that apparently Van Gogh has been deeply in love with a girl, Eugenie Loyer. She refused him many times and in the end she had to ask him to leave her house, since she was renting him one of the rooms. After that episode Van Gogh started to show the first signs of depression and he had to move away from London. I think it is amazing. That box was destined to be in this game. And now you can sleep! Have a good, starry night everyone.
I’m kinda touched. I guess having a baby feels like this.
This picture I took reminds me of summer in Italy, when it is too hot outside and you try to close every window and screen the sun to keep the house colder than outside.
