Day 27 - What’s Your Overall Opinion of Gwen in Series One

S1 Gwen is just the sweetest, cutest, most adorkable girl ever to wear a variety of ill-fitting sacks to work. Her friendship with Merlin is awesome (although her crush and his obliviousness to it gets old fast.) Her relationship to her dad is sweet. Her interactions with Lancelot make me into on big sentimental puddle of hopeless shipping. Her friendship with Morgana is both lovely and intriguing.

AND this is a girl who, while no-one (least of all herself) thinks she’ll ever be in any kind of position of power*, never stops thinking about how Camelot should be. Never stops talking about it. Never stops encouraging others to change the world, and never stops doing what she herself knows she can do.

*Though there was a couple of fairly heavy Queen Guinevere anvils in the first episode, so I don’t really get it when people claim they didn’t see that one coming.
