Sterek AU: Best friends since childhood, Derek and Stiles have always been inseparable, from kindergarten, to college, to astronauts in the same crew. That is until an injury forces Stiles to remain on Earth while Derek takes off for a year long, dangerous space mission. When the news come that Derek has disappeared in space, and is therefore considered dead, Stiles feels his world crashing down around him.

But this isn’t the end. He knows deep down in his gut that Derek is still out there, alone, waiting for him. Loving him back. Stiles is going to find him, even if he has to search through the infinity of space for the rest of his life.

AU Stiles is a cop and always arresting Derek. It gets to the point where Stiles arrives where Derek is and he just sighs and Derek gets to sit in the front seat and they go get something to eat while Stiles does the public service of keeping Derek off the streets. werewolf optional.
