TV PILOT RECORDING: Mark Watson Has Various Problems
From Mark’s email:
Mark is recording a pilot of a new TV show which stars Sam Simmons and Will Adamsdale alongside him, called ‘Mark Watson Has Various Problems’. We are recording it in a boxing ring, (I KNOW), on the Harrow Road, London, THIS FRIDAY EVENING, (29th January). The recording starts at 7:15pm with doors open at 6:45pm. Nearest tube is Westbourne Park. The recording will take about an hour / an hour and half tops. Tickets are FREE and you can register for them at SRO audiences, using this link: TICKETS
MARK WATSON HAS VARIOUS PROBLEMS
Brand new pilot from multi-award winning trio Mark Watson, Sam Simmons and Will Adamsdale where they attempt to unscramble one of life’s enduring problems, riddles or mysteries, for example: Mental or physical strength, which is best?
Nobody denies that strength is important. But what form should it ideally take? Without mental strength you can fall to pieces if Contactless isn’t working, but without physical strength you can’t get the lids off jars and it’s too easy for people to tweak your ears and so on.
Watson peddles his unique, high-octane stand-up while Simmons and Adamsdale chip in with interjections which include (but are not limited to) pieces of sheer lunacy, music, shopping lists, avant-garde offerings, and prop-heavy set-pieces which don’t work.
Mark Watson is a multi award-winning comedian, including the inaugural If.Comedy Panel Prize 2006. He is assisted by Sam Simmons, winner of Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Award 2015 and Will Adamsdale who won the the Perrier Comedy Award in 2004.
Expect big laughs, controlled chaos and full throttle stupid as the three of them attempt to answer this week’s big question.
If you would like to join us on Friday 29th January 2016 at The All-Star Boxing Club (nr Westbourne Park tube), West London, then apply now!

A book event for Mark’s Graphic Novel Dan and Sam “An evening of comedy, theatre, art, music and life-and-death shenanigans in celebration of Watson and Harud's new graphic novel Dan and Sam. Hear and see scenes from the book (about a supernatural love affair), brought to life by the author and illustrator, plus a host of other talents. One night only of unseasonally spooky Halloween-flavoured mayhem.”
Tickets cost £10 and it is on Tuesday 19th of January in the invisible dot.
“The rationale for this event is that I love books, and book events, but most times I've tried to do a book event it's been a rather dispiriting experience with eight people in a closed bookshop drinking substandard wine. So in 2016 I aim to 'reclaim' the book event as something that's live and exciting, and the wine is quite good. It's a bit like all these people trying to 'reclaim' the Labour Party, but with less wearying results. THANKS. BYE.” (X)
