In honor of Oscar night here is Marlon after his win for On The Waterfront.
French Interview with Marlon Brando
Hello all! The wonderful @djoby-djoba found an interview of Marlon Brando in French if anyone is interested in watching it. It is unfortunately not translated (as far as I know), and it’s making me high key wish that I had taken French instead of Spanish in high school. Perhaps I’ll take some time to teach myself French and use this interview as a test to see well I did.
Yup. I was sure he’d think it’s a good idea too.

You like that music?

52 years ago today.
Kashfi first met the acting legend in 1957 at Paramount Studios and wed shortly afterwards. He once described her as 'probably the most beautiful woman I've ever known'.
You bring part of yourself to every character, but some parts are closer to us than others.
Listen to Me Marlon (2015) | Directed by Stevan Riley
Do you know of any Marlon Brando interviews where he isn't speaking French? He's super hot speaking french but I want to know what he says!!!
Hold the phone, anon. Th-there are interviews of him speaking French? 0.0
Oh boy…I was worried this would happen. To answer your question, I know there are plenty of interviews out there where he’s speaking English thanks to YouTube. Do you live in a different country? Is that why you can’t find any? How are you only finding French interviews? I know he spoke many languages, but I have made it a point not to open that Pandora’s box. I know myself well enough to know that if I start looking for videos of all of his interviews I’ll never get anything done. And that would be bad because I’m trying to be an adult and get a full-time job rn…but Marlon…
I’m sorry, anon. I can’t link you to any videos right now. I know what I’m about, and I know I’ll fall into that wormhole of videos and articles if I research this for you; I barely got out of my Listen to Me Marlon wormhole….
If anyone has any suggestions for our anon, feel free to let me know. I’ll just post the links and try my hardest not to fall into those traps.
This is gonna sound very weird but I think Marlon's back is sexy! Like when his shirt is torn in A Streetcar Named Desire :P
Oh! Do you mean this scene, anon?
Yeah….I see what you mean *turns head away so you don’t see me blush* But in all seriousness, it’s not weird at all. I don’t care what anyone says, Elia Kazan knew what he was doing, and we should all appreciate that.
Another good scene (in my little ol’ opinion) is one of the workout scenes in The Men.
Whoever made this gif is doing god’s work. It just loops so flawlessly…

For a suggestion on the blog...I think you should add some info about yourself...just like your name and basic stuff so we get to know you!!!!
WHAT?! If I tell you more about me, how will I ever become a super spy?
Totally kidding. I actually made a post introducing myself when I took over this blog in June, but ain’t nobody got time to find that…I’ll make sure to include a “meet the blogger” spot on the new layout, but in the meantime:
Hello, my name is Natalie. The adoption process for this blog officially went through in June (on my birthday (۶•̀ᴗ•́)۶ one of the best birthday presents ever!). I live…well, you guys already know I went to see the movie in Los Angeles, so it wouldn’t be too revealing if I said I live in southern California. #GenerationDon’tTellPeopleOnTheInternetWhereYouLive #ThisShouldStillApplyToAllGenerations
I’m a relatively new Marlon Brando fan. It was almost a year ago when this gif came into my life and ruined me started it all:
…I never stood a chance…
What else would you like to know? I’m not too sure what else to say. Tbh, I had to stop myself from going into an interview type of introduction about me (#/。\#)
But feel free to message me if you’re curious as to who I am. I’m a pretty open person. If you message me off anon, I’ll respond to your message privately unless you specifically give me permission to post your ask on this blog.
As a suggestion for the theme situation sometimes I use a site called Dollie Crave and they have a vintage section for tumblr themes or you can try and just search for plain simple themes that you can maybe customize then add a background to get more of a fitting them for the page :)
╭( ๐_๐)╮that. sounds. amazing.
Thank you so much, anon! I’m going to look into that rn
