No Bragging Rights is one of my favorite bands.
I just listen to their music and think “Holy shit. This feels like home.” I love having bands like that.

The idea of “fans” has always been silly to me, mostly likely rooted to my fear of separation. I hate it. I even hate barricades. I love meeting people, making friends, connecting. I think it’s funny when some of you get confused when I ask questions back. Friendship is a 2 way street. In the last couple years I’ve had the opportunity to make some friends, a lot of them! Making friends over “fans” has always had the upside. I’ve leaned so much from just talking and listening. Most of you I only get to see a couple times out of the year for only a couple hrs. Some of you more frequently and the visits have been longer. With all the upside and all the good that comes with taking the time to make friends…the more susceptible you become to experiencing losses and heartaches. Brandy was a crazy lady with 2 amazing kids I could have just passed of as “fans”. I am thankful to God that she was never shy because I usually am. And because of her outgoing personality we became friends quickly and talked, a lot. Brandy and family came out to literally more shows than I can count. Even when she was frail from her battle with cancer, she still came out to our Lancaster show just to say hello and what would be goodbye for the last time. Brandy would have us over after shows and feed us, beer us, and let’s us crash. Always loving, always supportive. She lost her battle to cancer yesterday morning, leaving behind her husband and her 2 kids Kaytee and Dresden. My prayers go out to the Kaiser family. It’s hard losing a Friend but I wouldn’t trade my talks and memory’s with her for anything. Brandy was my friend and I’m going to miss her, a lot.
So sorry for your loss Mike! ♥ May she rest in peace. She's got front row to all your shows :)
Sometimes when I see ‘hardcore’ bands who do a lot of mic grabs or give the mic to the crowd during songs, the singers will only give the mic to dudes.
As a girl who’s an avid show-goer and loves to fucking belt out lyrics into the mic, I think it’s rather unfair that the mic automatically will not go to me, with some bands.
One band who will always share the mic with me is No Bragging Rights. Granted, I have only seen them twice, I have always get the mic a few times, though. If you know the lyrics and the singer wants to share the mic, fuck gender, share that shit around like herpes. (Uh?)
I really love that. I fucking adore the energy of shows and being able to scream out lyrics in your favourite band’s face(s). I don’t even care how retarded I end up looking. How sweaty/gross I get. How sore my throat gets. I just get soo stoked when a band acknowledges their fans. Regardless of gender. Fuckin’ mic grabs. Best. I love that NBR does that with fans.

To answer your question, they're fantastic. If you don't believe us, well, you'll just have to listen for yourself ;)

Not slowing down anytime soon Anon :) We have a couple awesome tours/festivals this year as well as writing new material (NBR of course). I'm not going anywhere.
