My third attempt at embroidery. I'm really starting to get the hang of it and I really enjoy it.
I’m so glad to hear that, because this looks great!

Doing some needlepoint tonight of one of favorite things... flowers 💐
Love these!
Here is a fat little llama!
I made her from a kit that I got for Christmas. It was difficult, because the instructions were in, like, Chinese, so I’m pretty sure I did everything wrong, but look at all the TEXTURES
I had to learn like three new stitches to make her. Just run your fingers over this bad boy.
FEEL HER
(Don’t look at the textures of the unironed cloth, though. That’s unintentional.)
Time to put this lovely lady on my wall.
Oooh, I wish I could feel her - she looks like she feels amazing!
i did my first cross-stitch project in about three years the other day!
a lil free-hand bun
Fantastic!
This makes me smile.
I'm gonna start posting updates on all my current WIPs (of which there are many). I worked on this last night and I never feel like I'm making progress until I pull back and look at the piece as a whole.
I think you’re doing great so far.
A needlepoint napkin holder I knocked out the other day, I tried to base the USA side off of the team usa jerseys. One day projects are always fun!
Festive!
Calling All Crafters
Hello, everyone!
I am taking Honors Statistics this semester, and one of the requirements of my course is that I must complete a research project, and analyze the data. After years of teasing from my family, I’ve decided my topic will be to find out how the average crafter really is: a lonely old grandma, a queer millennial, or someone in between?
To do this, I need to enlist the help of the crafting community here on Tumblr. I need to gather at least 100 responses in order for my data to be usable, so I’ve gone ahead and made a google form right HERE. I would be incredibly grateful to all of you if you take 5-10 minutes to answer this brief survey, and circle it around.
If I don’t complete this project, I won’t receive my honors denomination. Which is a bummer under normal circumstances, but in this specific case will result in my removal from the honors program (it’s a complicated system that warrants a post on its own.)
The survey has seven questions, only 4 of which are required. Two of the non-required questions are essay answers, to give you a chance to go more in-depth with your experiences in the crafting community if you would like to do so. it will help me better contextualize the data. If you would prefer not to, however, that’s fine too!
Thank you for reading, and please help me spread this around so that I can complete my course! All findings will be written up and presented on my blog sometime around the end of May, if you want to check back in to see the results.
Hi everyone,
Consider taking a few moments of your time today (or whenever you see this) to help out a fellow crafter in need. I normally don’t repost links to things, but in this case, nothing is for sale (and I already filled the survey out myself) so it’s entirely innocuous.
Hand embroidery on natural linen.
Lovely.

It took over 20 hours of fighting with my cat over whether it was helpful to attack my embroidery floss or not. I went in with a vague idea and a loose sketch on the fabric. Things came together over time. Time I required bc I had to work around my cat’s nap schedule.
Everyone thank my cat for my amazing project.
So pretty! Big thanks to your cat.
Window frames!
Neat!
Finally done! This sassy little birdie is a reconstruction from the bayeux tapestry. Just need to sew the fabric into a purse and I'll have one that matches my viking dress
Very nice!
💙 be yourself 💚
This is good, and it’s good advice, too.
A yellow sky
Oooh, lovely.

You’re so beautiful!
Samplers, 1993.
These are worthy of a wide audience, I think.
First non-cross stitch embroidery project 🐝🐝🐝
I’ve already learned some valuable lessons
like when the instructions tell you to do the outline before the satin stitch, you can ignore that.
...I mean, that is not always the case, but this is looking excellent so far. Well done!
