Kagome should have gone back to her time, and Inuyasha should have stayed alone to heal and mourn, taking solace from platonic relationships. She physically and emotionally abuses him. The relationship is canonically toxic. He also isn't perfect but he deserved better than that after all he went through.

i'm not going to fault kikyo for why she believes the things she does since she was raised to believe yokai are the natural enemy yadda yadda. but yes, i don't want him with someone who denies half of who he is lol. and sooo many people's gripes with these characters, especially kagome, seem to stem from actions only a fifteen year old in love would make. like obviously it feels exaggerated or immature, it's because kagome's both of those things, she's fucking fifteen. and mind you she's handling the situation with way more maturity than you'd get from your average fifteen year old.
