I’ve caught up a little bit with what’s going on … honestly , i think im at the point that I can’t keep myself attached to DOL if this is the development team. The community has so many people of color and LGBT people populating it. and these are the people behind the game? there’s no way the rest of the team hasn’t been aware of this behavior behind the scene. it’s not just purityguy, it’s a deeper issue.
I don’t think this is something that can be swept away. it’s more important to listen to the members of our community impacted by the things that were said.
Ive been a fan of the game for a year and a half now. talking about ocs and developing the DoL universe into something of my own has been cathartic and fun. the community on tumblr has also been incredibly welcoming and kind. but at some point we have to accept that directly supporting people who say things like this and act like this behind the scenes is wrong. We can’t just “oh, but the game is fun…” this issue away when it’s something this serious.
I don’t know. I might keep posting, i might not. But i think it’s important i at least acknowledge the state of things. I feel disgusted.
