My Internship with Barrington Stoke
My Internship with Barrington Stoke
2017 could not have started better for me, as I was offered an internship at Barrington Stoke. Barrington Stoke is a children’s and YA publisher, founded by Patience Thomson and Lucy Juckes, a mother and daughter-in-law team with personal experience of the way that dyslexia can lock children out of the world of books and reading. They came up with the idea of books that would open the door to…

Last week I visited the Christmas Markets, also called German Markets, in Edinburgh. The markets are situated in the city centre at the Princes Street Gardens. Especially at night with the lights on, the scenery is amazing. It’s romantic and very christmassy!
The markets offer a variety of products that apply to people of all ages. The most popular is of course food like burgers and german sausages as well as beverages such as Bailey’s hot chocolate, mulled beer and wine called “Gluhwein”. Don’t leave the markets without trying something sweet like crepes, belgian waffles and churros!
Apart from food, you can find things for christmas decoration, scottish souvenirs and traditional products like scarves. For children or adventurous adults, the christmas market is like a fun park, offering a wheel and roller coasters that are very exciting. The markets are perfect you if you are a Christmas lover and it’s a unique experience to try new handmade products and food from other cultures.

SYP Scotland: Editorial: First Draft to Finished Book #SYPedit
(Warning: This the the first publishing-related post I’ve ever written, quite different from the lifestyle themes I choose to write, but publishing is a huge part of my life as I’m doing my master’s on it, hope you enjoy!)
On Thursday the 27th, Society of Young Publishers (SYP Scotland) organised the first editorial event of the year, which took place in Edinburgh at the David Hume Tower. When…

Exploring Stirling: Sable & Flea
Exploring Stirling: Sable & Flea
Hello :) As a coffeeshop and tea room lover, my aim is to explore as many cute, vintage coffeeshops as possible. I’m currently living in Stirling, Scotland as I think I mentioned to you before. One of the best coffeeshops in town is a vintage coffeeshop called Sable and Flea. It is situated at the heart of Stirling city centre, near the train and bus station for people who are visiting, on the…

#MySundayBrunch: Hillhead Bookclub
Hello fellow dreamers :)
I know it’s been a really long time since my last post, but I currently moved to Scotland in a city called Stirling to do my master’s, so I was in an adjusting period let’s say until I find a place to stay, the uni etc. So, now that I’ve finally settled in, I thought that the first post in Scotland will contain FOOD!! (what else?) and some travelling that combines the…

#MySundayBrunch: New York Sandwiches
Hello dreamers! As a proud brunch lover, I decided to begin a new series of posts with the hashtag #MySundayBrunch, in which I’ll try brunch food on Sundays (frequently I hope :P), in different coffee shops and restaurants in mainly Greece and Scotland where I’m moving soon for my master’s degree. In these posts, I’ll mention a short reviewof the dishes I tried, reasons to visit, prices and the…
