Who killed which npc???

OH BOY THAT’S A WILD STORY! Probably the most insane session I’ve ever played in. So it was Cide who killed our NPC Tiefling cleric Syp, WHO is a 15 year old CHILD. He was brought almost immediately back to life but the whole situation was UHhh?? traumatic to say the least.

Cide was heavily under the influence of Hudic, this evil god of Betrayal that we’ve run into a handful of times. Hudic made a deal with Cide when he was a child to save him from a bad situation, so now he was reclaiming that favour. Cide was forced into thinking he had to kill the rest of the party, I can’t believe our friend and our DM were able to keep that secret for the last few months because when Cide turned on Syp while we were all asleep during night watch, we all lost out minds. The entire table had to sit through a gruelling one on one combat, all watching with our hands over our mouths in absolute shock and unable to do anything to stop it. When Cide managed to kill Syp, he immediately woke from his haze and started to panic. It was then that another god called A’Lathriel immediately cut into Cide’s mind, and said if they joined forces against Hudic, he would bring Syp back to life. After agreeing (And Cide was able to multiclass into a Death Cleric woo!!), Syp ran for his life. When the rest of the party woke up, the following 20 minutes in character were spent trying to process what just happened, there was a lot of arguing?? confusion?? betrayal?? (all the yelling was in character so we weren’t really mad at each other) but BOY after the session ended we all had such a fun time. How did the party manage to put all this to the side so we could focus on the mission ahead?? I still have no idea. Eddie is still mad.
