I genuinely love reading fanfiction, and I have so much appreciation for the people who take time out of their lives to write and share these stories. It takes effort, creativity, and consistency, and that’s something I’ll always respect.
That said, it can get a little frustrating sometimes seeing a lot of stories follow really similar plotlines, especially when many of them end up unfinished. I completely understand that life gets busy, interests change, or writers move on to new ideas—that’s totally valid. No one owes anyone an ending.
I think it’s just one of those reader struggles where you get really invested in a story, wait for updates, and then it quietly disappears. It doesn’t take away from how much I appreciate the work that was already shared, but it can still be a little disappointing.
Overall, I’m still really grateful for the fanfiction community and everything people create—this is just a small, relatable frustration that comes with being a reader.
