- hes constantly saying thank you to everyone - the way he is with his family in ep 1 - not saying to penny “its a bullet proof vest” but “the cool thing is if someone punched me it wouldnt hurt. try it.” and then pretending he’s hurt when penny punches him - GLASSES - going against the police to protect innocent muslims - thanking the navy seals for their bravery and effort - when he constantly reassures leo that he is and always will be his real father - when leo finally accepts that^ and tom is so fucking happy - when he doesn’t just fire emily bc she wrote that thing about the senator and actually looks into it and defends her bc he wants her to continue working for him - did i mention glasses -”every fourth text you send is to your children” - that entire flashback alex has while tom is having surgery -”it’s my jello, i earned it” - when he asks penny if she stole her drawing from a museum -when he pinky swears that he’ll help penny draw a horse -just the fact that they could’ve made tom some grumpy old dude who doesn’t care but they made him this really kind guy who cares about his people and his family
