What kind of life must someone be living to spend their time spreading hate? It's such a tragic, pathetic waste of the very limited, precious time we have on earth.

I talked a bit about this a while back. What we focus on shapes our experience of life. That applies to the antis, it's true, but it also applies to us. Therefore it's probably best to just ignore them for the sake of your own sanity, and so that you don't end up with a distorted, miserable perspective on fandom.

The way I witnessed four yizhan fic writers somehow turn into xz antis and become besties with the toxic mtjj circle on twitter and now vocally hate everything BJYX to overcompensate. So gross to see how they treated their previous turtle friends, I wish their fics could be unbookmarked and un-kudos'd.

It looks like Xiao Zhan doesn’t mind acting in those overly romantic dramas unlike yibo, who chose a whole other direction. If he wants to be taken seriously as an actor isn’t it better to avoid those cliche romance dramas?

I think it's fair to say that most turtles love the Untamed and/or MDZS, and that's a romance. Many of the songs we love that GG has performed are romantic. A large percentage of us read fanfic, and almost all of that is romance. Almost every film or drama features romance in some way, yet most of us are here because we enjoy film and TV, and we enjoy the entertainment industry.

Some of the greatest, most beloved, most award-winning dramas and films are romances.

So can we fairly say that this is going to be a terrible cheesy story, and assume we aren't going to enjoy it, just because it's centered around a romance?

The script writer and director for this series are very well respected for doing serious, powerful work. Let's just give them a chance to put this story in front of us and decide then whether it's good or not.

Honestly, I don't understand all the hand-wringing over GG's acting career. This is not the first time I've had to answer something like this. How can anyone look at what GG has been doing and question his career choices? The man just finished doing an ad with Wong Kar Wai. He has been performing in one of the most prestigious theater plays in the world. What more does he need to do to get the respect of fans?

DD has had some good opportunities, and I'm looking forward to seeing a couple of his new movies, but let's not pretend that he isn't doing a high volume of barely palatable propaganda projects.

They are both making their own choices in their careers, and only time will tell what will come out of those choices. Let's just love and support them.

Too many people in this fandom writing off rumored or confirmed dramas just because it is romance genre. I used to be like that with OOL but GG actually got to show off a lot of emotional range as Gu Wei which was more entertaining to watch if you knew how his novel counterpart was like. Are actors only taken seriously if they do hard gritty roles with dangerous stunts or act in a depressing story? Does a project need to be government sponsored to be considered serious? Does anon want to see him to be like Gu Yi Ye in his next consecutive projects? 

Instead of focusing on the drama genre, the real value fans can gain is seeing him play various characters and his interpretation of them. Where Dreams Begin is more focused on the youth during the 70′s and he’ll grow up to be an aspiring businessman who will later raise a family. YGY is a mainstream xianxia that will definitely be romance centered but he will be playing an upright and godly shizun for the first time. This applies to DD as well since he does have unaired works that some have brushed off as just propaganda, but at least his characters have different setups and will also be "firsts" for him. 

From a yizhan fan’s perspective it’s also not bad to see both men taking on diff acting projects and finding their niche. Romance genre doesn’t have to automatically mean inferior if the viewer finds it enjoyable. It’s all personal preference in the end, there are people who would rather watch romance over action and vice versa. I will literally watch anything if it has Yizhan but I know not everyone is like me lol. But the good thing about stanning both is that you can pick and choose whatever you're in the mood for. I know people who have said Being a Hero is a bit too graphic and intense for their tastes to watch and I can definitely say it is not a comforting show. Anon might not be aware but I have seen many fans wishing for a more lighthearted project from DD and thankfully One & Only will deliver on that. So imagine if both GGDD are taking on the same type of "serious actor" projects consecutively, it'll be harder for a fan to choose what to watch based on their tastes.

I think Sunshine With Me is something to look forward to because the female lead will be a well respected senior actress and he'll get to play the role of a 25 yo rookie designer he can probably relate alot to as it was his original career. I'm just really excited to see how he'll connect to a character who might remind him of his early days plus have the opportunity to input alot of creative freedom to make him come to life. We do get to see glimpses of his artist side but imagine the possibilities this drama could have to further showcase his original profession. There is no other actor out there who could play Sheng Yang better than GG because he has literally experienced that kind of life.

I just hope fans of Yizhan who want to see them do well will consider other factors besides choices in genre when analyzing their career decisions.

i wish people would think a little bit like two actors on set with full knowledge they’re being filmed for bts footage basically the entire time are probably well aware all their antics were caught on camera and going to be made public at some point & antis will twist anything harmless into a negative hotsearch they don’t need a reason yall realize the official bts already caused problems with people trying to say xz and wyb hated each other right ?? hmm maybe the problem isn’t the footage at all??

It seems like when Yibo’s kadian posting slows down for a period of time it has the tendency to incite some feelings of doubt within some...and the way I see it it’s like a double edge sword: it brings us great joy when we see it but it can have the opposite effect if we don’t see it as much as we’re accustomed to.

When he posts something with kadian➡❤️. 

When he’s silent for a while➡love is dead why do we live just to suffer?

Be careful to not fall for this trap too quickly!

I know it’s easy to flip between both extreme sides of the shipping spectrum during periods of silence but we just need to remind ourselves why we’re all here in the first place and think about which is more consistent: the pattern and frequency of yibo's kadians or his weibo inactivity.

Think of candy like kadians as fluff and detail, they should not be viewed as the current state of their relationship.

Kadian was always meant to be a subjective extra side candy when it comes to bjyx—it’s nice to have and appreciate when it happens but it’s not a necessity and backbone of their relationship.

When you want to convince a new turtle that bjyxszd would your first thought be to show off a list of timestamps? Probably not right, the go-to is usually clips and photos etc.

Obviously due to uh certain circumstances (no public obligatory yizhan interactions, xz being a ninja) anything kadian or social media related has become more than just an optional candy for many of us here as it is one of the only ways to know if they’re doing fine. But solely relying on it as evidence has its consequences. There were times we’ve been used to having kadian buffets that it makes the inactivity seem even worse. 

If you tend to get feelings of doubt from anything social media related you just gotta remember that kadian is not the sole representation of bjyx. The longer gap in between posts can just be for simple reasons like he’s busy filming bah or brands aren’t giving him stuff to post like before.

If possible, please try your best to prevent yourself from falling deep into an angst hole after a few days of inactivity. SNS inactivity is definitely not the end all for bjyx.

At this point it’s just about having faith in the two guys and zqsg. Let’s not solely rely on subjective physical evidence like kadian to assure us that bjyxszd as it can have polarizing effects on our moods.

I think it was an untamedconnotations post that said bjyx used to be about finding evidence to prove they are real and showing it off(peak summer 2019) but after a certain point it became about supporting two guys who make each other happy (in whatever way you see most fit)

There’s only so many ways ggdd can express their love for each other on social media or on camera (CPN of course). This sounds super cheesy and weird but if you’re really serious about Yizhan being real (beyond the normal levels of RPS like I am at this point smh) you need to do your own part and just have faith that they have a strong bond and not rely on being spoon fed candy by ggdd to believe they’re real.

In this modern age we’re prone to letting social media serve as an indication of a person’s relationships with others, which is not a good mindset to have. Even official couples don’t feel inclined to profess their love for one another on camera/sns to prove to the public that they’re still together. Maybe there will come a time Yibo stops doing obvious kadian, but will it automatically mean he and xz aren’t together anymore or at least on good terms?

Tl;dr Let’s just enjoy kadian as candy in good fun, don’t let your mind quickly assume the worst when it doesn’t happen for a while. It’s not worth venturing into dark places for something like 4 days of sns inactivity. Don’t place all of your faith in their relationship on social media activity or else it will bite you back like a bitch.

Of course no one can stop your mind from having these second thoughts if you’re naturally the type to be skeptic or feel like things are too good to be true, but hopefully when you’re feeling down you can consider other possibilities before assuming the worst.

Having some blind faith won’t hurt sometimes haha ﾐ☆( *uωu人)+ﾟ.

I have to debunk one particular theory

Some of the leaks look extremely authentic, but the sources of the leaks are spurious and I say that with the utmost generosity. I’ve seen people theorise that some of the leaks are authentic, and done at the direction of DW.

There is one reason why I think that is extremely unlikely. Yes, networks and large companies do sometimes intentionally leak material to test how audiences are likely to respond, but the problem is that some of the images in question bear the watermark of a third party.

The idea that the translation company in question would consent to their brand name being used on a leak, particularly accompanied by commentary stating that there was no nda signed, is madness. It would be a tremendous source of reputational damage for them.

I cannot imagine that in DW a company which surely has a massive legal team, would be so brazen as to release a leak with the “source” being a third party with whom they have a business relationship. That shit has “lawsuit” written all over it.
