Avengers Endgame Theory

I predicted the events of Infinity War with accuracy on Tumblr (starts with Loki dying, snap fails to be averted, Peter dies in Tony's arms) so I'm putting out my theory for Endgame just in case, as I haven't seen anyone else put this forward.

As theorised by others, surviving Avengers resolve to change the timeline to bring back the trillions of dead. The problem is that this destroys their own timeline where Tony and Pepper have had a child (I think she was already pregnant in Infinity War). Tony involves himself in the plan but without the knowledge of the other Avengers (except maybe Scott) successfully sneaks his young son to the surviving timeline to avoid annihilation. This, now orphaned child, goes on to be raised by Ben and May Parker...

Don't buy the shirts

I'd be the first person to tell you that we're not actually entitled to any particular content in a television program. I'd be the first person to tell you you've got no right to tell a creator what content they should or shouldn't put on screen. But if they're prepared to sneer at you for shipping, *and* willing to make a buck off of it at the same time? That is actually pretty despicable.

I hope that television producers wise up eventually. I hope eventually they come to understand that there is a *real appetite* for the content that they are so cagey about putting on screen. That not only do LGBT people deserve well-conceived and appropriate representation, but that young women (amongst others) *actually quite enjoy romances between men*, and have for some time (I've been a fangirl since the internet was young -this shit is not new).

We had high hopes for Voltron. Many feel let down.

If you want a shirt -buy from a fan, and write DreamWorks a letter.

They shouldn't have it both ways.

Why marrying Shiro off to a random guy isn't good representation

It's groundbreaking, sure, but it isn't equality. Let me explain why . if Shiro had been a heterosexual male or female character randomly married off to someone who is effectively a stranger to the audience, it would be sneered at by the audience. It's poor writing if the character is gay for the exact same reason it poor writing if the character is straight. Doing better than your competitors in terms of representation, still isn't equality if you treat your characters in a fundamentally different way for being gay than if they were straight. DreamWorks does does not deserve to be praised.

A warning to She-Ra fans

I believe, wholeheartedly, that much of the issues that upset so many of us with season 8 of Voltron came down to executive meddling. Executive meddling is often the bane of anyone involved with a large studio (there was meant to be a lesbian sub-plot in Black Panther for example) I think a great many of us had their hopes dashed by voltron, and some have reinvested those hopes in She-ra. I have to warn you now that, the very best intentions of the creators of voltron, and indeed She Ra, will always be under the sway of the executives. If you were counting on the sort of representation you dream of seeing in She-ra, they may face the same obstacles that were put before the creators of Voltron Legendary Defender
