Beautiful work love it, thanks for sharing, though intend towards realism my painting mentor was an abstract expressionist tonal painter so I can really appreciate your stuff
Thank you! I need to get back to updating this site. I'm afraid i have neglected it for a long time.
I never know what piece is going to be a "hit" here on tumblr, and like you I often wonder "why is that piece so popular?" And why is this one (whatever current favorite of mine) being ignored. I especially liked your Wrestlers piece. Aloha, Steve from Maui
Thanks Steve. I need to get back to updating this site. Love your work!
Another large abstract in process.
36x36 abstract oil in progress. Experimenting with more impasto texture.
Still exploring this recurring organic form, I have been working on a series of small works in gouache, pastel, ink, or combination. I painted this on black paper. I like the way the black shows through in mottled patches.
“Rocket” 60x48 oil on canvas 2011
Our crazy loveable miniature dachshund "Rocket". The challenge was to capture his exuberance and movement from this unusual perspective.

“Qwest Field at Night” acrylic, oil, enamel on canvas 2011
Unexpectedly this seems to be the most popular image on my blog so far. I'm curious to hear why. I wouldn't have guessed.
Beautiful work in progress. Compliments from fellow fine art student from nyc/ Nj -tatiana
Thank you! I have not been very good at updating the blog, but I appreciate your encouragement!
Digital image work
Works in progress. I am fascinated by this repeating form, and may try exploring it more in encaustic and watercolor as well.
