Tsumuri and Omukade (Theory of Sorts?)

Given my research, Tsumuri to my knowledge has a lot in common with Omukade, a large centipede-like youkai that lives in the mountains and was so large even dragons feared it.  Even the art for Omukade is very similar to the centipedes you see in Tsumuri’s art and is the same color as well.

Omukade is poisonous, as normal centipedes are and was so frightening that no one dared to oppose it, running in tandem with the theme in Poison Bugs.  The centipede was most terrifying at night where it attacked dragons.  The dragons waged war with Omukade but he always won (and this can be seen as the symbolism of Tsumuri’s victims as well, i.e. more notably Scor than Odea given what we’ve been shown).  Killing Omukade is said to yield someone longevity and great might.

There are a lot of similarities between these two and DSP is known for creating characters off of Japanese mythological creatures.  Tsumuri being a destructive, violent asshole makes sense when putting this into consideration. It also explains why the other insects could be so afraid of him or synonymous with those Omukade terrified and plagued with pain.

This is both a headcanon of mine and a theory of sorts.
