Ava turned to face the newcomer, raising her knee to reach and tie her shoe as she teased, “Well, I asked you first, so you just got yourself a sparring partner,” she smirked, cracking her neck, “Ava. What’s your name?”
“I guess I did.” Kye started wrapping his knuckles, then made eye contact with the girl, “Kye. Nice to meet you.” His tone was always friendly, hiding the nerves that were always coming apart underneath. “So, do you do this a lot?” If this became a regular place for him, he at least wanted to know if the face would become familiar enough.
