Hello! I go by Corvid online, I'm in my early twenties, I'm aroace, and I use mirror pronouns

I joined the Star Wars fandom in 2021 after the release of Mando season 2. I'm most interested in The Mandalorian and original trilogy era stuff, I don't know a ton about the prequels and I've never watched the sequels

I am shamelessly a multishipper, I'm very open to any ship between characters I like that doesn't make me personally uncomfortable. Right now I mostly post about DinLuke and BobaDin. All shipping posts will be tagged with their respective ship names

If I like your art without rebloging it please don't be offended, I promise I like it just as much as everything on here, it's just that I'm very random and a bit strange about what I reblog and the things that make me reblog art are known only by god

If you think I should add a tag to a post feel free to ask me to do so. I tend not to tag much besides my own filtering tags, but if I'm asked to add a tag I probably will

I don’t think Klaya or Cinta needed to be Cassian’s sister. I don’t think we ever needed to know what happened to her. What happened on Kenari was an avoidable tragedy. What happened on Cinta’s homeworld was an avoidable tragedy. What happened on Kleya’s homeworld was an avoidable tragedy.

They don’t need to be related. The point is that there are many homeworlds in the galaxy, and the imperial boot was crushing every one of them. The point was that their stories are so similar because they were all oppressed and colonized. The point is that it didn’t have to be like this for any of them, but it was, and so they fought against it, and that desire for freedom brought them together and toppled the dominos of the empire.

The frontier of the rebellion is everywhere.

and even after his whole speech on making his mind a sunless place, giving up kinship kleya cries for him and kisses his forehead goodbye.

To be honest I would have preferred it if Bix killed herself in arc 2 over what we got with the baby ending. I feel like this entire season was just dedicated to making her nothing but a vessel for Cassian's legacy or whatever the hell. Stars Wars writers please learn to be normal about women I am begging you

You know, if I had a nickel for every time an interesting woman with depth and agency in the Star Wars universe got knocked up in an epilogue I'd have two nickels but it's weird that it happened twice.

ok but i also really want to talk about B2 in this series, bc this is the first time in star wars i've ever seen a droid character depicted in such a child-like way. like, yes, B2 is a droid and he does various jobs (most of which seem to involve relaying messages and displaying holos), but usually, he's just depicted as another character, a member of the family. and, despite being older than many of the main characters, his role in the family seems to be that of a young child.

this is most obvious when we see him with bix, brasso, and talia on mina-rau, but we can see evidence of it in season 1, as well. brasso in particular talks to B2 like he's a small child, whether he's trying to convince him to help the daughters of ferrix after maarva's death or when he's dropping him off with talia. B2 also has a lot of child-like attributes in how he interacts with others and reacts to events. for example, when maarva dies, his response is that of a bereaved child, uncomprehending that their parent is truly gone: "i don't want to be alone; i want maarva!" he also expresses separation anxiety similarly to a child, usually towards cassian but also sometimes towards brasso. and in season 2, we even see him happily playing with a group of children and other similar droids—brasso seems to refer to these as B2's "buddies."

in sum, i just find it really interesting to see a droid in star wars depicted in such a child-like role. it makes me wonder about the range of droid personalities in this universe, and whether they are programmed to emulate certain familial roles, or if they simply take on a role based on their surroundings and how they're treated by others.

The writers of Andor certainly are capable of grabbing your attention. There were some moments while watching that I just genuinely forgot to breath during. I was, like, tensing my entire body and had to keep telling myself to relax

I am very curious about how they're going to bridge the gap between now Rogue One

After so many pilots in star wars saying "i can fly anything" it's so refreshing to see cassian andor be just. absolutely incapable of figuring out the controls of a ship
