@girlpoasts
more ppl need to get hooked on this drug called album in order. not enough people on album in order these days
Album in order is a beautiful girl and she wants to give you a special kind of kiss through the ears
I'm going to fix everything in the next three hours everyone wish me luck. if i dont then probably ill dig a hole and lie down in it for a bit in the rain/sun/whatever outside looks like these days
the hole isnt even that bad
Princess girls and Puppygirls are both different manifestations of wanting to be loved in a way you haven't felt without having to kill yourself to earn it.
"Villainess" princess girls on the other hand can't accept they actually deserve that love or admit that they need is so they dress it up as something they are taking from you.
Cat girls want to be loved but don't want to be overwhelmed
Knight girls and maid girls are convinced they have to earn the love they're missing by becoming essential to someone else.
Being raised with the expectation that we would perform masculinity left us all with a hole in our hearts that nobody taught us to patch and we're doing the best we can.
I love you, trans women.
music is literally so songs as fuck and dont you forget it
ever since i was a little boy i knew i wanted to wear cute necklaces with low cut tops and i didn't understand why that meant i deserved to be bullied and broken
it's so fucked up that you can spend your entire childhood yearning to be a girl without ever knowing it
we shouldn't have had to go through that and we should be building a world where no one has to again
Let's all Get Bald and Play with Our Synthesisers #BrianEnoSummer
jk rowling kills children
I think if I heard I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas in the correct circumstances it could move me to tears. It's like the promise of a brighter future that never came to pass
the replacement of websites with apps sounds so backwards when you actually describe it. like hmm you have to download an entire program onto your device each time you want access to a portal, where it takes up storage indefinitely. somebody should invent an app where you can "browse" any portal just by typing in its address... 🥴
i agree with this and i get the point you’re trying to make here but with a website you are very much downloading the entire program onto your device every time you visit it. like that is very much how websites work, you do need to download the website to view it.
there are plenty of other reasons to dislike apps when you could be using a website though! apps typically have much wider access to information about your device, and thus potentially identifying information about you, than websites do. they also do take up storage space, where websites might also but often just in the form of cached files, which your operating system can delete to make space for other things.
at the risk of sounding cynical I have to be honest, I feel like the reason the "trans women have a harder time passing than trans men" is such a "can of worms" statement is the fact that so many trans men really try to cling onto their idea that they are More Oppressed or Equally Oppressed to trans women
yupppppppppppp
I've met a fair amount of transmasculine people who need to prove their oppression in relation to me as like... idk? an affirmation of their identities? it's weird and leads to a lot of very stilted and uncomfortable social interactions, or like I'll say something that's too feminist all of a sudden he's really intensely explaining some trauma out of nowhere. idk
thinking about how in the last chapter of whipping girl Serano talks about subversivism and how the queer/trans community prizes and encourages genders it views as more subversive over ones which are perceived within the community as more ‘traditional’ (i.e., binary). I posted a more full quote about this yesterday, but because our society associates masculinity with like, toughness and coolness, and associates femininity with being reserved and held back, much of the (tme) queer community views trans masculinity as more “subversive” and “against the binary” despite the fact that transfemininity is much more disturbing to cissexual society.
i think because there’s this huge pressure within the trans community to be “subversive,” trans masculine people often feel the need to prove that their identities are as controversial, their experiences as traumatic, as ours (or more so) in order to feel like they’re doing a good job at performing radical queer gender.
if youre in the US (especially the northeast + michigan) i would avoid bagged salads/greens and generally wash your produce very thoroughly unless you want the diarrhea parasite
Michigan is experiencing its largest outbreak of a parasitic infection that causes severe diarrhea. Nearly 1,000 people have been diagnosed
this is not life-threatening, but also who wants weeks of diarrhea and a fucking parasite in them lol. if you suspect you've already had this and it's passed, i would see a doctor. you might need an antiparasitic anyway. if you're actively sick, see a doctor and they might be able to prescribe medication to help you get over it faster.
try to avoid eating raw vegetables, scrub fruit with a produce brush and rinse thoroughly with water. again, don't bother with premade greens or bagged salads. if you buy lettuce, remove the outer 2-3 layers of leaves.
there are UNVERIFIED rumors that the greens have been linked to a company that sources to taco bell. some locations have been actively pulling fresh ingredients like lettuce, avocado, and pico de gallo to mitigate the threat, so i would avoid any products from them just in case. considering how vast supply chains are, i'd be wary of any fast food greens in general for now.
also note this is a PARASITIC infection. most diarrhea-causing pathogens you expect to contaminate your greens are bacteria (e.g. e. coli and salmonella), which are a different domain of organism altogether. cyclospora is a protozoan, which is bigger and more complicated than a bacteria (for reference, malaria is also caused by a protozoan). bacterial diarrhea can be dangerous, but you might also expect to weather it and survive unscathed. do NOT fuck with PARASITIC contamination. you should be scared of this one!
Another note: YOU CAN'T WASH IT OFF!
Only high temperatures will kill cyclospora. It resides in what is like a shell, which is highly resistant to water and most cleaning chemicals. The substance it uses to cling to food is so strong we don't even fully know what its limits are. It may be best to avoid fruits and veggies you can't cook. Scrubbing only works if done hard enough and on foods with no hiding places (Like cucumbers and grapes). Peeling the skin off is your best bet at avoiding it however, scrubbing is not guaranteed.
Thank you OP for posting! Usually washing does work on most sicknesses, just not this one.
Extra note: this parasite can only be found in human feces, this food was contaminated due to a lack of bathrooms and washing stations on harvesting sites due to loosening enforcement of food safety regulations. This was more than preventable, we used to prevent it.
You thought this was a rabbit? They thought this was a rabbit. That's fucking funny bitch, this is fucking Winnie the fucking Pooh. Yeah. Yeah. Fuck 4th of July
Photographing Birds From Bed (Part 1)
Recovery is boring. And I can't do proper photography. So I have put together a wireless setup to capture various birds while I am resting in bed. I have a security camera that alerts me to motion and I can trigger my camera with a little remote control.
These are the fruits of my project so far.
I am still tweaking things. I'd like to improve the lighting. And I'm still trying to figure out how to get the birds to land exactly where I want them to. But I think these are pretty good under the circumstances. And the cardinal couple bickering was pretty cute.
That's almost it for this Pride Month. Before we go, there's one more thing we'd like to show you. Please take a look:
