To the first question: Yes, and I think about it actually very often. The person in question was probably not healthy for me to be around, but I do still miss their presence a lot sometimes. I would never want to reconnect though after what they have done since, but I would probably go back in time and redo it if I could.

To the second one, no though. Most of my friendships have been relatively transient in nature. I have immense difficulty getting attached to people nowadays, so I doubt I'll ever have a friend I feel that way about.
