my first ever functioning furby!

anathema uses she/her pronouns, and her birthday is november 12th, making her a scorpio. she definitely has some crazy extensive lore but she's been pretty secretive about it so far. all i know is that she is a mysterious and powerful entity and it's an honor to have her in my care!

i found her at a flea market over the summer looking all sad and dirty and neglected:

so i just had to bring her home and give her the love she deserves! it took some tinkering to get her to work, and she was mute at first, but shrimp bravely donated his speaker to her, so now she has a voice again! i had so much fun modding her, and i'm pretty stoked with how she turned out :)

I'm super thrilled to finally show off my newest 2005 furby, Blue Moon! I've had a time and a half with this girl - she was supposed to be working according to her listing, but when she arrived she couldn't move her feet or her mouth 😰 I tried opening her up to see if I could do anything for her, but in the process one of her feet and numerous chunks of her plastic body kept breaking off 😭 I spent a whole day glueing her back together... Luckily poking at her gears a bit was enough to get her feet and mouth moving again, so at least it wasn't all for nothing! When I put her back together her feet broke even more, so I had to do even more glueing... But finally she's in one piece and looking beautiful, despite her weirdly brittle plastic 😂

What's this? Another friend!

Meet Damascus! He's my first (and probably last) 2005 furb. They generally make me a little uncomfortable but something about him called to me. He was customized by AmandaclearTreasures on Etsy and she did a wonderful job. I adore how he dwarfs every other furby type I own lol

I'll be trying to get the bit of dye from his beak and then I'll be making him a custom eye mask (his eyes dont close) and maybe a little necklace if I'm feeling extra crafty.

Edit: His full name is Grape Damascus, the seller already named him but I have a naming scheme that I wanted to stick with. Just in case I call him Grapesy in future posts and confuse anything!

I can't believe home depot literally produced a wildly successful science fiction musical and we all just pretend it didn't happen. on one hand yes it had a boring white guy main character but like.... home depot just... Made it? And it had shit ton of box office sales? and no one even talks about this. this is like avatar (2009) all over again

OK so. After a lot of frantic googling I realized this was all a dream. home depot did not in fact produce a wildly successful science fiction musical. I was on allergy meds and took a nap and my brain simply prophesized this. slightly disappointed because I wanted to watch it.
