The sad indie/alt girls have really been keeping me fed in 2022! But as always, I love to mix in older musicโso here are three more albums I've been stanning like they're new:
I only stumbled across Saved by Now, Now this year and whew, I've been missing out.
Rachel Stevens' Come and Get It is a little bit "2000s British gay whose music taste was cryogenically frozen the moment they hit their 30s" but also it's full of pop excellence, so of course I love it.
I mean, the Sugababes' Lost Tapes only dropped a few days ago so technically it is new, but the songs are 10 years old so I've put it here. And WHAT A COLLECTION to have lying in the vaults for so long. Not a single miss!!
Having said all that, my song of the year isn't even on any of these albums. That honour goes to Somebody Like You by Bree Runway (icon). Nobody is doing it like her and I need an album expeditiously.
