A/N: This is a *first draft* of my Furuba Secret Santa (or maybe more accurately “Secret” Baby New Year?) gift for @tohruzu.
First of all, I want to apologize for not only taking a long time to send you your gift but also for not reblogging your gift to me until now. I love Yukeru, so thank you so much for the lovely edit!
I felt awful about not being able to contact you about any of this until now, but I hope you enjoy this preview of your gift, and I hope you don’t mind me taking even longer to finish it. I so badly wish I was able to finish this on time. Unfortunately, leading up to Christmas Day, I was sick with a cold, and then my family’s Christmas gift to us was a spontaneous family trip to Puerto Rico, which was amazing, but also meant I was very busy and basically had no wifi all week, so I couldn’t even send an update to let you know what was going on with your gift. And, on top of all that, I got a really bad migraine once I came back and looking at screens just made it worse.
Also, I noticed you made not only one but two Furuba Secret Santa gifts, so I want to commend you for the effort you put into both of your gifts. I actually almost agreed to be a back-up gifter, so I’m very glad you and other creators were able to take on that job.
And a huge thank you to the @furubasecretsanta organizers: @momjisohma, @kyohrus, & @lhatsuharu! I love writing fanfics for other people, and I look forward to more opportunities to write Furuba fanfic in the new year.

“You look beautiful, Tohru.”
“No, you look amazing. I love that dress.”
Rin blushed. “It’s not my wedding day, you idiot. It doesn’t matter what I look like.”
“Fine, but I still think you look nice,” she countered.
Tohru was wearing a simple white lace dress with a sweetheart neckline. Her hair was curled, and adorned with a delicate flower crown. She looked angelic. Rin was wearing a low-cut red dress with a slit down the side, her hair a choppy bob. She looked more badass than she actually felt.
Rin sighed. “Kyo’s such a lucky bastard. Why are you marrying him, again?”
Tohru smiled, but responded seriously. “Because I need him, and he needs me.”
Rin frowned slightly, but before she could respond there was a knock at the door.
“Hope everyone’s decent in here,” Haru announced, entering with a hand barely covering his eyes. “Damn, you guys are dressed already.”
Rin rolled her eyes at him and smacked him on the arm, but her hand still found its way into his. “Tohru, if you’re having any doubts, Haru and I would gladly marry you, instead. Haru, tell her.”
“I’m not quite sure how you expect me to answer that,” he responded slowly. “But, yes, obviously. Just don’t tell Kyo I said that.”
After a moment, Haru added, “Actually, maybe you should. We haven’t sparred in a while, so I’d love to give him a reason to want to fight me.”
Tohru just chuckled at their antics. “You two are too sweet.”

“Kyo, just remember we’re all a little bit in love with her, so if you hurt her, we’ll kill you.”
Kyo put his hands up in surrender. “I know, I know. You definitely don’t have to remind me.”
“By the way, she looks amazing in her wedding dress. We might just have to steal her from you,” Haru added.
Kyo sighed deeply. “Haru, are you looking for a fight?”
“Kind of, yeah.”
Kyo let out a breathy laugh at that. He didn’t deserve Tohru; he knew that better than anyone.
