Since finding herself magically transported to another world, Y/N has been the talk of Night Raven College. She is the only magicless girl to ever enroll at NRC...
But also, she can control shadows. and sunlight. and mind control. she can also steal other people's powers. It's an innate ability, not magic. This part will become relevant later on.
Y/N is bullied often because of her lack of magic, and she has no way to defend herself because NRC apparently allows you to physically throw down, shoot laser beams, but not use magic against fellow students.
She found herself cornered one day. Y/N was only trying to read a book to the animals in the campus woods, because they are the only ones who understand her, until she found herself surrounded by mob students who sneered and looked down at her.
"You'll NEVER be one of us, Y/N! You're just a magicless good-for-nothing! No one will miss you!"
One of the students raised his hand to slap her, making Y/N shut her amber orbs and huddle up in fear. This is it. This is where her journey ends. As she says her mental good-byes to herself, because she doesn't have friends or family, she realizes the slap never comes. Y/N cracks one fiery orb open.
A man with silver hair caught the student's wrist in his hand, glaring at the group with his auroral orbs. Everyone IMMEDIATELY felt chills down ALL of their spines, sensing the presence of an alpha male.
"w-w-w-w-we're sorry, boss! We'll never lay a hand on her again!"
"Grr.... you better not."
The silver-haired human growled, then stutted over to Y/N, pinning her against the wall and taking a whiff from her grey head.
"You're 𝓨 /𝓝, aren't you? Come with me. We must 𝓮𝓵𝓸𝓹𝓮 before the other alphas find you... Azul, Idia, and the others are trying to covet you. You will only be safe with me. I can't let you become a capitalist... or a gacha gamer."
Y/N could hear the heartbreaking sincerity in his final words, his expression softening. He only wanted the best for her. The knightly homosapien wiped tears from Y/N's rosy grey cheeks before knocking her out and carrying her over his shoulder, his chin providing shade from the sun.
He was so close to reaching Densomnia, where she would be safe. Until his path was obstructed by the largest, most dangerous alpha around... he gulped, shifting into a defensive stance and holding Y/N closer. He scanned the alpha up and down, assessing him. 8'9", an entire foot taller than the auroral-orbed man himself... The alpha's body was ripped full of hard-earned muscles and battle scars.
"Y/N!!! I'LL SAVE YOU!"
He growled, baring his fangs at the silver-haired biped, who was now standing in front of Y/N with his arms outstretched.
"You'll have to get through me, first!"
"n-no! Silver! You can't! How will I be a functioning member of society without you?"
"𝓨 /𝓝... There's no other way. Just remember that I love you, and that there will probably be a convenient event in the next paragraph that will save both of us because I am the main love interest of this fanfic which means I have infinite plot armor."
"W-what?!"
The purple-haired alpha froze, his face growing pale. An absolutely beautiful alpha materialized behind him, his arms crossed.
"Epel Felmier. Something... ambiguous but very important happened. We need you back at Pomefiore. Immediately."
"This... this isn't over. I'll be back."
He gave one last glare at the alpha knight before leaving. But the glare left him badly injured.
"No!!! This cannot be!"
Y/N cried, her magma orbs shimmering as the memories of their time spent together flashed through her head. The silver-haired man beating up her bullies, pinning her against a wall, knocking her out... he was always there for Y/N, and now, there was nothing she could do about it. She technically has healing abilities but conveniently forgot about them.
"𝓨 -𝓨 /𝓝.. No, Y/N... Listen to me. The only thing that can save me now..."
He took in a pained inhale, clutching his chest.
"Is a 𝓴𝓲𝓼𝓼..."
And so, Y/N kissed him, and he stood right back up, carrying her to his den.
