“Get on,” Fushimi says. “Don’t be scared.”

She hands Uruha a silver helmet. It’s new; still has the holographic brand sticker adhered to the back. Uruha doubts, for she had never hopped on a motorcycle before.

Fushimi might be wondering if she is a chicken.

She’s not. Uruha takes a breath and puts on the helmet.

She wants to be free, so it be.
