After claiming Beau and graduating from Lima, Adam headed straight to law school, while Beau worked on an undergraduate degree as well. Despite the stress of school, Adam had never been happier. He had a submissive that was more than he’d even dreamt of, and was on his way to a promising career.
Since Mateo Lopez was once again a classmate, and since both of them were close with Jackson, who was still unclaimed, Adam found himself developing a friendship with the other Dom. They often speculated about possible solutions to the situation Jackson was in, ways for him to end up with those he loved despite Mateo’s inability to claim another. Adam would talk about them with Beau, as well, getting his opinions, since he was also friends with the switch. Hypothetical solutions became suddenly less hypothetical when Mateo found Jackson’s journal, which many times referenced his intent to kill himself before reaching thirty, which was less than two years away. Mateo and Adam returned to Lima to inform Jackson of their plan. Adam would claim Jackson, with the intention to support Jackson’s romantic relationship with Mateo, Nick, and Jamie and a platonic relationship with Adam and Beau. It didn’t take long for their claim to get approval, at which point Adam finally took Jackson away from Lima for good.
Now that they weren’t tied to Ohio, the group was able to look for work elsewhere, and eventually settled on San Diego. Adam was hired in the District Attorney’s office, and bought a house for himself and his boys. Mateo, Nick, and Jamie were close by, so Jackson could go back and forth as he pleased, and Adam got the feeling that the three of them were like his extended family. He’d never expected to have such a big family, and once again reality was better than anything he’d imagined for himself.
