“Good,” he nodded, not that he’d been concerned that Archer had regrets. Well, not serious regrets. He was sure that could Archer go back in time and change his mark, things would have been different. Ryder laughed, “No pissing him off until we have somewhere else to stay lined up. Then go for it.” Volunteering sounded alright, even if he did worry about their financial situation a little bit. “Pfft as if it would even be a contest! Ya know we’d win!” The two men ordered and chit chatted as they ate way too much food, then ordered dessert. “God I missed cheesecake. Ya know what though? I’m psyched to get back to the south and get some proper sweet tea and some good grits. God I miss good Southern food.”
Archer made a big deal of sighing and rolling his eyes. “Fine,” he huffed out. “I guess I can hold off on annoying him for a little while, at least. But the sex contest is so on. You know it’s just going to happen without either of us actually acknowledging it to the others, right?” He grinned and used his spoon to steal a bite of cheesecake from Ryder’s plate. “Oh, it’ll be awesome to get down there and have Toby cooking for us all the time.”
